a 2.0l turbo loses his bite after 3rd gear in comparison with a 5 cylinder from an rs. i still like it. in germany and austria its a bang for the buck car. if you modify it slightliy you can go race stock amg´s and m-cars
Guyz i live in one of South East Asian country where speed limit is not enforced but the traffic is too crowded to drive 200 so mainly the pull will be 0-140 and mostly the speed i will be driving is 90-120, do you reckon a golf gti (apr stage 2 ) is more than enough to do the job, I mean if I add some money for a car like bmw 335i is it worth the extra seconds at the cost of fuel consumption and higher operating cost for 6 cyl. For anyone wondering I currently drive cx5 and no focus is not an option here so as many great European models. I mean cx5 is great for city pull ( i tune it, skyactiv is really not bad) but i just want more adrenaline. Any advice is appreciated thanks
As the owner of a Golf R, I think it's important to point out that Golf R's are not designed for top speed runs. On the highway, I don't generally pull the V8's and V12's. Even some of the V6's have a bit more top-end pull. Even with my Stage 1 Tune. But on regular streets, in bends and twists, and in bad weather with bad roads - Golf R is king. 0-100 KM/H, on regular city streets, almost no one can beat a Golf R. Stock I was pulling Focus RS's, I was pulling V8/V12 Mercs and so much more. So, if you want to dominate on the autobahn/highway, get a V8/V12. If you want to dominate everywhere else on city streets, get a Golf R. Though, if you want to drive responsibly on city streets, get a Toyota Corolla. Put a tissue box in the back window and drive in the slow lane. And I'll try my best to avoid you.

@40 Roller nah dq381 is better and faster also handles more torque. The 7.5 pre GPF 2017-19 cars are the fastest.

Honestly, never expected this car can go beyond 270 kph, terrific speed.
i got st3 B7 alltrack 370hp. hit 267kmh (dragy correct) once - is so fck scary in this type of car. till 220kmh fine, more - not.
On the way back we did 292 km/u easy but there was to much traffic

My golf drives above the 300 km with dragy corrected ( 6xx hp)
But this type cars is not good for that speed

It is reliable as long as youre servicing your car. You can daily this no problem and even fuel consumption is relatively low

If your talking about the speedo, it's because the speedo's numbers get larger gaps which causes the needle to slow up from 100 and onwards.
