This anime, only became something because of the MC Ayanokoji. The anime itself is not that interesting, but the mc is interesting, it was an smart move from the director making him to be more stoic and that small speech at the end made most people feel a taste of "I want more", just to see where this anime might end up.

Japanese thinking is weird when it comes to academics & competition. You have to score high to get into elite school, then once in the elite school you have to score high to get in the leading class of that year 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A. But with each year is an A through D class and are penalized the lower you are down, even though you are in both the Elite School & Elite Classes, since not everyone can be in the other classes due to space & scores, but you are treated like garbage for being in the last of the elite classes. You're still smarter then the one that DIDN'T get into the elite school, but not as smart as the elite of the elite.
My boy didnt even get a high score in the entrance exam tho, and there is someone dumb as hell i wouldnt even be surprised if he got 0 on the entrance exam yet still got in
Idk it really heatens the competition ig. It's really the The survival of the fittest situation. It may also ups their independence and responsibility with pressure. Kind of messed up but really effective imo.
I would like to clarify that in real life Japanese people aren't quite like this. The vast majority of schools are chill with people just wanting to do well enough to get into college or get a good paying job, since you need a recommendation + good grades for those things. The elite of the elite stereotype is what you see in extremely selective schools that are pipelines for the important universities in the country like Todai. In those places, students strive to be the best because it is a status symbol to them and their family. Although I will admit that the school does post exam scores on the wall and people do judge each other for their grades. It's just that being "smart" isn't what's going to make you the coolest or most popular person in school.

Ah, the fairly common high school genre of anime, and one with the theme being one full of elites. I am reminded of animes with highschools like the one with clothing giving people powers, or the one where the one class learns to be assassins. And like half the themes of elitist schools, the main group are the ones in the bottom of the bucket outdoing the top tier players. The usual other half style of elitist highschool themes being the one where the main character gets quickly promoted to the top and is overpowered or better than average.
but this anime ayanokoji acts like avarege kid but he's an expermient in the white room this story is not about the school its about politics and goverment stuff the school is just a side quest for ayanokoji

So basically it’s my first video I watch about you to my favorite anime but I’d like to give a small advice for example to this anime: As a light novel it is like really based on the information in the anime and it‘s quite necessary to explain what he meant to reach with doing these specific things. Also it’s quite hard to really understand the message in such a short recap compared to Movie recaps due to a movie being like 2 hours long while animes are about 4-5 hours long (or at least a 12 part anime) so I’d suggest that you try to make like double 15-20 parts so that you have the first half and the second half as a video. because I think if u just listen to this recap right here you wouldn’t really get interested in maybe watching this anime because you wouldn’t quite get the point. Also (but that’s personal preference) you can use the introduction of the anime for example here Kiyotakas question „are all humans truly equal?“ as your own anime introduction cuz these introductions are deeply thought out and they give the listener quite a good sense on what’s to come and if that’s at the start of the videos as well it is probably more catchy because you can get a feeling on which direction this is going. I hope this isn’t all over the place or something, but I think these things could improve your videos Mby try it out ^^
Easily one of my favorite protagonist in anime. Not only did he fool and trick all the characters in the show, he fools the viewer. That ending twist was one of the few times I was genuinely surprised by a plot twist in all of anime.

The first season was just oh "I outsmart your outsmarting" but second season is better
It's still interesting but season 1 was a bit basic as season 2 was a lot better with individuals fighting instead of classes
