- I love shopping at the Goodwill. It is so much fun to show y'all what I bought from them. Keep in mind that this video is uploading later than this day. I sent so many things to my grandkids and they just loved them.

Beautiful as always Rebecca! I was born in 1980 and I remember the times when little "things" were considered not so little. I like to see with how much love and passion you organize it all and buy for your loved ones, it must not be the latest fashion or super expensive, it must be done with love. Rebecca, I've bought pictures in the frames before. For me it was too expensive to get them reframed so I spray painted the frames and they came out beautifully. You would think I bought them that way. It's amazing what you can do on your own to save a little money. The older I get the more I appreciate the value of a dollar! Yikes!😣😁and the bag of flowers you have?? I could listen to the sound of it all day! I love the sounds of each item you're showing. Especially that bag of flowers!!!!

And there’s only a percentage of us that enjoy the country look. The color white and gray and beige is all the rage now. I do not like it. The look of my house comes from the way things were 100 years ago in America.

I haven't cried yet only because it's all reading and test taking but frustrated yes. I'm sure I'll be ripping my hair out as well as wonky seams. I've tried my hand at sewing with no clue as to what I'm doing and have encountered so many problems not knowing where or what went wrong. Now that I'm learning it's kind of clicking together as to why I had issues. It's a whole bunch of variables and moving parts, kind of annoying but the thought of making blankets, and baby items to sell, and clothes to wear and pajamas and pillowcases for my boys and one day grands/ great grands it's worth it. It's a life skill, like cooking and baking. Hey speaking of what's your favorite thing to bake? Mine are cookies, because they take the least amount of time.
Whatever do you mean Jenn?! Raising children is the most important place to shine the light of God‘s love.. and especially grace. it’s the most important ministry I can think of.
Learning skills like sewing is an incredible undertaking. I could never do it. Right up there with learning an instrument. Those skills and more were required of genteel young women in olden days. I’d have been an utter flop. You would have prospered!
I really don’t enjoy domesticity. Not in the most practical sense. It is I that am warm and inviting with my hospitality. But I seriously am bored with cooking and cleaning. Unless I get to have company. Does that make sense? It’s rather a pleasant irony that I should make videos of myself doing these things. It’s like having constant company over. And I get paid! 😂. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Life is seriously unpredictable. Mine is nothing like I imagined it would have been at 59 years old. 🤗😘🤗😘

Yes you're right the ministry of motherhood is a great one and incredibly impactful at that. I think I forget how serious it really is in terms of how much I can affect the world through them. Raising them is so all encompassing it's hard to see progress there sometimes, but God has it. Charles Spurgeon had an amazing mother and he is quoted as saying some wonderful things about how important we are to the Kingdom of God. Thank you for reminding me.
House work is never ending and not my favorite either neither is hosting/hospitality just feels like more work for me. My sister in law was great at it, I don't know how she did it.
The videos you make ARE like having us in your home, soothing us as we go through stressful times in life, or just feeling like we are visiting with a friend. It's all very comforting. Regardless of whether it's in person or virtually, it's definitely sharing His love and spirit with others especially people who may not otherwise encounter such Godly hospitality in their own personal lives.
Genteel standards must have been so hard. I have a hard time meeting today's "Super Woman" gotta have it all and do it all standards. Phew it's tiring. As for music well piano was always something I had wanted to learn but I had a very odd teacher, little patience, and gave that up during my high school years. Maybe another time in life ....once I figure out how to sew first. Hehe!
I loved in this video how you thought of the kids on your bus, and your daughters and grand children. Gifting is so fun! I bet they miss you just as much as you miss them.
Life does give us funny pathways and twists and turns we never thought would come our way. Like meeting sweet Godly women on a virtual platform who would open their hearts and homes and share insights into their life and encourage you. I'm grateful to God for that and you Rebecca. I have a niece with severe autism. She would absolutely love you! She’s the cutest ever. She brings so much joy to our family. My best friend of 19 years actually just got her doctorate in special education this past August. Her son is on the spectrum and she has put her heart into bringing change for special needs. She is helping Institute new special training for police officers and school officers specifically for dealing with children and individuals with Autism because there has been so many tragic stories in the news about how things are currently being handled. Anyways I’m rambling now.😂 In other news...Your home always makes me wanna curl up in front of your fire place and read a book with hot cocoa. ❤️

Since I've been a subscriber I've always thought you had some experience in interior decorating. By seeing different things in your home as you show it in videos everything is so pretty and cozy. Color coordinated for sure. I bet when you go shopping you find the neatest items to display in your home. I love doing that also, but I get myself in trouble sometimes. Spending too much money and on things I really don't need😁. I try to stick to the Dollar Tree stores. You know everything is $1 so you can leave with 25 items and not feel too bad about it😆😆
I definitely prefer going to a secondhand shop than to the dollar tree. But you are right, you can get into a lot more trouble financially that way. My only experience with interior decorating is with my home and my shop. Whatever I know about it came from my mother and magazines and other stores I’ve been in. Some emulation.... lots of intuition.
