I have the x431 Pro.. I was looking through those "tips" and handbook help, etc.. It has quite a few things there.. but it's definitely not comprehensive and it's only for a few limited brands too. I'm not sure why it's not more complete, because it's a nice feature... But any time I look something up, it's not there when I actually need it. So that's a bit of a bummer. I do like this 'Pro' that I have though.. Apparently it came out in 2016, and that's why I got it on clearance for under 160.. They sold out fast. It has all the old OBD1 adapters in a big case/ kit. Free updates for a year, and it's running the moder V7 version software, so I'm liking it. (it was like fourteen hundred when it came out).
Nice informational review. I have the D8 which is a nice scanner for the price. I updated to a topdon phoenix plus and it is a night and day difference!! The whole layout and format, not to mention i can hook a lab scope to the scanner, and go straight to alldata while working on a vehicle, which is a handy feature.
Thanks for the video! I almost decided on this scanner vs the d8. I went with the d8 because I plan to make keys and xtool can read pins. How would you compare this to the d8? How is this tool for making keys ?
I like that this scanner is cheaper than the D8 and has more software options as far as the help guides that I showed and the shop info stuff but it would not pull the PIN code for our jeep so if I never needed to program keys I and wanted to save money I would go with this one but if programming keys is something I think I may need then the D8 is the winner. This scanner should be fine for programming keys as long as there isn't a PIN code.
Can you see in testable models what can i do on a opel astra h?Can i activate the opening and closing of windows on the key?And can I code the cim module or the radio?
always use the charger supplier with scanner ,had a thinktool pro simler to launch scanner and use my phone charger and it and it never work since,,too many amps I think, because I got from ebay seller not interested just offered £50 of new one
I was leaning towards the d7 for my prius. Then i found out it doesnt cover the 2022 mitsubishi outlander AT ALL with no real plans to add it (their customer service said as much). Made me reconsider xtool.
I can tell you I like my launch better, but the xtool shines when it comes to key programming but other than that I have been grabbing my launch before my xtool.
Do i have to have internet access in order to use this tool? So what happens when the 2 year free update ends? or Does it stop working till i pay a subscription? Can i still fully use all its functions if i decide not to pay for any updates?
You do not have to have the internet to use the scan tool. Once the subscription expires it will still fully work for vehicles up to the latest year it was updated.

The tablet looks like a D7 and the library is a nice feature for DIY's. Looking forward to more videos w/ this unite.
So far it looks like a very promising scanner.
Does this retrieve the pin for key programming jeeps?

Without hooking it up it doesn't let me go into it deep enough to see those options.
@@737mechanic I would like to see what can be done on Opel and other European cars.😁

I see online that a lot of people say the battery systems tester 360 is not very accurate and or reliable
