Now I see why a 27 year old woman fell for a 43 year old man. He treats her as a grown up, and sees her as one, which is perhaps what she had been hoping and longing for, for some time. He has empowered her, and this is a big deal. He wants her to become independent and knowledgable about her own life, which may not be the thing to do in the Filipino culture. But seriously, sign a book of checks and not know where her money was being spent on? That is crazy, even for Filipinos! The new Mrs. Escudero lucked out with this opportunity to test her ability to manage herself, which she may find, could be a slippery slope without the right skills. Normally it is not the case. Most older men will not see their much younger wives as equal or an adult. They often dismiss their wives opinions as too immature or too naive. It is like having another father.

Senator Chiz should be a motivational speaker, there's something about his voice. Plus he's intelligent 👌
The first time I saw Chiz on tv, I was in high school. I was so amazed by his eloquence. He spoke Filipino better than anyone I've heard before. No stammering, no stalling, no hesitation. He was so fluid, his words sounded like poetry. It seemed like he had everything memorized down to the last letter. But he was consistent in every interview so there's no way he could've memorized every single one of those responses. And then he spoke in English, and he was just as articulate. Having said that, what really gets me to this day are his wit and incisiveness. Anyone can be articulate but only few can be both articulate and sensible.
Now I understand why my teacher in Araling panlipunan said that girls who wants to get married should pick the older guy. Heart is so blessed. So happy for her.

I had a zero idea of who Chiz Escudero was. All I hear are negative opinions from hefty judgemental Pinoys questioning how come that this beautiful Heart Evangelista fell for him. I really resonated when he said to follow whatever it is that you need the most at that certain point in your life. it makes so much sense but it’s so different from what we are taught. We don’t have to have everything or even a little bit of it all at the same time. i feel so much better about not having my life together at 20 yrs old ablut tk graduate next week not knowing what i’m going to do. and 20-30s is so realistic to be building a career..... everyone i talked to i’ college speaks like you’re supposed to have your life made up by age 25 and ready to retire with kids and a pension and be CONTENT but...... that’s not realistic for everyone.
