I just spent hundreds of dollar today for cleaning and solve leaking issue … they did exactly as what you showed in your tutorial …. I will try to clean it up by myself next 3-4 months, thank you 👍👍👍
The cooling fins need to be cleaned as well or else the accumulated dirt will not allow air to pass through freely resulting in poor cooling performance and increased electricity bill. I use a portable battery operated high pressure gun to clean the fins. You will also need to buy a plastic cover with drain hose to collect or drain away the waste water so as not to mess up the work area
I got as far as the screw in the blower wheel, but the screw head is either stripped or none of my phillips screwdrivers fit properly since I couldn't remove it. The rest was great, I got a partial clean of everything at least. Thanks!
The coil in the Aircon unit will condense water and dropped into the drain tray. Then it will be routed to the drain pipe and all the way to somewhere outside your house or some Inthe bathroom to drain away those water. After a long while, somehow that drain pipe will get choke by some gel stuff... And if the choke is bad enough.... Guess the water won't be able to drain off from the Aircon unit drain tray. And once over flow, it will drip out from the Aircon unit. Hence I believe occasionally sucking the drainpipe will help in this sense.
How does the water from the coil at the back drain? I have overflow from there, I end up pour declogger in and some jelly drain out from the outlet at the toilet
beside the drain tray at the front, there is another smaller drain tray ( part of the unit housing) at the rear. This drain path will route to the front where the grey colour drain tray is...
I wonder would the blower wheel accidentally to drop down to the floor when you remove the left rubber grommet? Do you need to prepare to catch the blower wheel from dropping down when removing rubber grommet?
No, it will not drop all the way out .. as after the grommet is removed, you will still required to slide the blower wheel outward to the left to remove it.
during storm, if water is coming in from the gap between the drainage pipe and hole in the wall, is it possible to apply sealant from inside the aircond? thanks in advance for your opinion
Please apply a bit of grease to the inner surface of the so called grommet which is actually a bearing and on the blower shaft to avoid squeaking noises if the bearing gets dry
off hand, what I can think off what could be the problem. Squeaking, must be something rubbing against something. Blower wheel got two ends. One side is the rubber grommet (one possible area not installed back properly). The other side is to the motor which is unlikely as there is nothing to rub against, unless there is issue on the motor internally. Lastly, see if you can check. is the blower rubbing or hitting against the hosuing when turning... which cause the sound.
check the blower alignment on the right side. If the blower touches the main body it will make squeaking sound. Need to leave a little gap away from the main body.
disconnecting the drain hose from the tray seemed very difficult. how to release the cache that is holding the hose tightly? Video didn't explain this part.
Is it the screw inside the blower wheel might be stuck sometimes, how to prevent screw stuck? I think I read somewhere people mention the screw is stuck and do not know what to do unable to remove forever.
If you intend to remove the blower wheel, do note that during installation back, the set screw need to sit precisely into detent area of the motor shaft.
Hi, I've been trying to remove the drip pan from the drainage pipe to clear a blockage. Tried pressing down on the latch and wiggling but still hose is quite stuck to the drip pan. Any ideas?
I got to know from an Aircon serviceman that likely the blower wheel was inserted too inward toward the right and the set screw they might have over tighten it. This will cause the motor shaft to burrow out and cause the wheel to stuck.
I got that problem too, saw a video that person fix back the water tray without any diffculty, i figure out clearly that the part that block the way was shave off a little, it was no longer a rounded edge. Can try use big knife to "shave" it off. Another video show that service man lift up the cooling coil slightly to allow water tray into position.
Thanks for showing us steps by steps to deep clean this Mitsubishi Starmex Aircon. Thank you.
This is the best video for Mitsubishi Starmex A/C maintenance. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Remember the screw to the blower fan.. must install back at the right position.

No harm trying out.... Might save you a few hundred and can use those money for a good feast.
Once do it a few times, next time will be easy to take out and install back.
Thanks for the video

thanks for the video, it’s really hard to find tutorials like yours
this is the best demo so far
Thanks for the compliment.
This video is a complete blessing. Literally the best aircon vid tutorial for cleaning. Thank you kind sir for sharing ur knowledge with the world.
Do remember when you place in back the blower wheel... Make sure you see the detent of the motor shaft before you install back the screw.
i manage to service my own unit thanks to this! Thank you.🤗
Awesome. Self satisfaction upon completely clean out the unit ourselves.
saw alot of videos. Your video is the best and very detailed. thank you

great video!!! thank you for the detailed breakdown!!
i'm curious, why do servicer suck drainage pipe from using vacuum?

Thank you very much. This is excellent! Just what I needed! 😊
thanks
very good training video for a lot of DIY people. 😃😃😃😃
Do take note the blower wheel set screw when installing back. It must sit on the detent of the motor shaft.
Thank you so much , very insightful and simple
Hope it helps.
Exactly same for my model..Tq brother..Now I'm gonna figure out how to clean cooling coil also
Thank you for saving us hundreds of dollars every year from having to engage shady-as-F aircon servicing companies.
And I bet we clean it up better than those companies.
يالله اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد وعجل فرجهم ياكريم ❤❤❤
Hi. Thank you very much for the great tutorial! Had it done immediately after watching this vidz. Saved me some $$$. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for the guide man!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks bro, very clear explanation and pacify my query mind. Thank you so much :)
Awesome way to do this i did this too but my blower cant get out now aircon getting noise of whistle
What happened? Care to share?
Aircon getting noise
At any speed the noise still there?
Thanks for sharing this video Sir.

I think shouldn't be a problem. Since it will not interfer with the operation of the unit.
Do we need to switch off the main power supply first?
Yes please. For safety.
Please apply a bit of grease to the inner surface of the so called grommet which is actually a bearing and on the blower shaft to avoid squeaking noises if the bearing gets dry
tks for sharing ,very useful video
Any query, can just text here. I will try reply ASAP.
thank you.. very detail indeed!
Just remember the blower wheel set screw to be install onto the motor detent.
I removed, cleaned, and put back my blower wheel. But now I have a squeak during operation, how can I stop the squeak?
does it sound like rubber squeaking?
off hand, what I can think off what could be the problem. Squeaking, must be something rubbing against something.

check the blower alignment on the right side. If the blower touches the main body it will make squeaking sound. Need to leave a little gap away from the main body.
Thanks. It worked perfectly for me.
Another cleaning which I can think off is to do suction or purge the drain pipe…..
disconnecting the drain hose from the tray seemed very difficult. how to release the cache that is holding the hose tightly? Video didn't explain this part.
When I first did it is very stiff. You have to depress the small little latch thingy to lift the hook off the hoses.. then start to wiggle...
Thank you so much
Is it the screw inside the blower wheel might be stuck sometimes, how to prevent screw stuck? I think I read somewhere people mention the screw is stuck and do not know what to do unable to remove forever.
Do share with us if you know anything on the stuck screw and how to prevent it.
This is 80 bucks save per unit. I got same model.
If you have 3 unit per house and prefer quarterly servicing that will be 80 X 3 X 4 = 960 per year lolz
Blower stuck after even taking the screw catch on the right inside the blower.. how
Is this the first time you took out the blower wheel?
Any idea of the screw size on the blower wheel? Thanks.
Should be a typical Philip size 2.
excellent.
Any ideas?
Same problem...
hi do we need to switch off main power for the aircon?
Well, that is a good practise to always turn off every power before you work on the unit.
Blower is stuck unable to remove, any tips, thank you in advance.
Oh that sound bad. Is this the first time the blower wheel was attempted to be removed?
@@escahmo yes

@@escahmo thks for the info

Hope you find it easy to remove everything.
May I know what is model# of the indoor unit?
MSXY FN18VE
@@escahmo Thanks
great guide thank you
its not that easy to install back everything. the drainage tray especially.
I Just wiggle wiggle a bit and pushed it inward…
Wonder should I create another video for installation?

why i only find the video that i was looking for & find it after i worked on my ac & break some clips because i was inpatient lol
