Two notes: 1) Hannah, over in the Discord shared a discovery on how to add wallpaper to the hallway opening! Check out this link showing how! imgur.com/a/RRtQKsn 2) Apparently this is a lot harder to do if you're swapping between two plots with two different landscapes. I don't have two landscapes to test this, so I can only provide second hand confirmation of this. Just to make it easier, I suggest doing it between two of the same plot landscapes.
wallpaper been like this for a long time, we just had to color an inside wall it in advance after we placed the room at the ghost plot, it was like stealing that texture from another plot (that's how it worked with old ghost trick), but if with the new one ghost trick we can ghost it only from storage, then it won't be possible to change I'm afraid
When im trying to change plots with a furniture piece "on hand", or even without it, when the plot changes it exits furniture mode it goes back to my character standing at the entry, so I cant bring a room from one plot to another :/ do u have any idea hy this might be? Is there some configuration about it i couldn't find? The second plot is empty, I dont have any landscape applied, only the normal one and I'm on pc.
You can no longer bring over items that you have "on hand" or "in hand" to another plot. This only works for items specifically coming out of your inventory. That's what I'm showing in this video - I'm only moving buildings that are coming directly out of my inventory, never buildings/items I already had placed.
I don't really know what is or isn't possible on Switch as I don't do any building on Switch. I just assume nothing I do is possible on Switch unless someone says otherwise.
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’m trying to do the solo room detachment & I don’t know why the room just won’t show up on the other plot. Both landscapes are the same. Maybe I’m just not placing the load plot button in the right spot?

Do you know if its still possible to do this with trees to place them inside a house? I haven't been able to since the patch.

Never mind! I finally got it lol.
It helps if you zoom in all the way, and shake your cursor a bit while you're spam clicking
