tony looks like the guy that's always peer presured to into drinking beer at a party, but takes once sip and holds the can for the rest of the party, just bouncing gently in the corner
Rambo vs Predator would have been pretty cool actually and as much as I love Predator 2, it would have been my all time favorite movie if Mel Gibson was in that movie as their Lethal Weapon characters as Robert Murtaugh and Martin Riggs going up against Predator.
I haven't seen the Rocky movies in a while, but wasn't it Paulie (Burt Young) that had the robot? Burgess Meredith was Mickey. Did Mickey have a robot too?
You also didn’t bring up how Sparrow was originally supposed to be a no-nonsense captain and that many scenes were vastly different. It was Depp’s edits which made Jack Sparrow the Sparrow we all know and mostly love. Mostly since they butchered his origin story in that last movie.
Richter was the director of Buckaroo Banzai and writer of BTILC, but it was never intended to be a sequel. He was just brought in to re-write an existing story.
This guy's impression of Jack Sparrow is the best I've ever seen. It made me forget all the problems of the world and feel like a child again. It was like flying with the wings of an eagle over a rainbow field of candy marshmallows singing happy songs.
I've never heard Caribbean pronounced like 'cuh-RI-bee-an' with emphasis on the Ri. Where I come from it's pronounced 'ca-ra-BEE-an with emphasis on Bee. Languages are pretty neat man
Bio-Dome was originally started as a script for Bill and Ted 3 A Good Day to Die Hard was the only Die Hard film that started life as a Die Hard film. The previous four all started out as adaptations of different novels but when plans kept falling through, someone came along, noticed that the story could fit John McClane in perfectly and the rest is history. Similar to Die Hard, Hellraiser: Hellworld is the first Hellraiser to start life as a Hellraiser film, with the first six films' script starting as script for different movies that then added Pinhead and evolved into Hellraiser movies. Also, I'm glad Total Recall didn't get a sequel since the ambiguity of whether or not Quaid imagined the whole movie makes for a much more compelling ending in my opinion.
Uhhhhh isn't Pirates of the Caribbean based on Pirates of the Caribbean? You know the ride? A lot of Monkey Island's ideas are in Pirates script, but Elliot always intended to make a film based on the ride, ten years prior to it being greenlit. Add to that the cursed treasure and skeleton Pirates being a part of the original ride.
I mean why not just have Monkey Island and Pirates of the Caribbean just be in the same shared universe. Nothing really intersects too much, but you get some connected lore drops, and the occasional tongue in cheek reference, finally ending in some batshit insane mashup sequel. Yknow. How Disney also did marvel
So I like Pirates of the Caribbean and I'm not complaining that we got it but... with out the cheesy humor, insult sword play, the ™ after every island name if you have subtitles on, the lack of explaining why pirates are a thing even though they have amusement parks and water fall plumbing and other random 21st century tech, the mystery of what the Secret of Monkey Island™ is, AND *DEEP BREATH* the hours of wondering what to do, can we really call it a good replacement?
Of all the industry type of UA-cam channels Dorkly you take the cake which this time isn't a lie you're my favorite industry UA-cam channel If you didn't know what I call a industry UA-cam channel is when you are in a industry ( Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, etc) and you have a UA-cam channel
Wow! That would have been a long stretch! In honest trailers voice: "Bruce Willis plays as Arnold Swartszeneggers distant cousin cop which finds himself in a totally unrelated skyscraper!"
tony looks like the guy that's always peer presured to into drinking beer at a party, but takes once sip and holds the can for the rest of the party, just bouncing gently in the corner
Takes one*
Jesus, proofread.
Fast Five was originally supposed to be the sequel to the american remake of The Italian Job, aptly named, "The Brazilian Job"
Mickey didn't marry the robot, he was dead by then, Paulie did.
Rambo vs Predator would have been pretty cool actually
and as much as I love Predator 2, it would have been my all time favorite movie if Mel Gibson was in that movie as their Lethal Weapon characters as Robert Murtaugh and Martin Riggs going up against Predator.
VIDEO TIME!
Dorkly I love you
Dorkly yay :D
Gud shit
Dorkly you should do a tomb raider video
Dorkly huh, neat
I haven't seen the Rocky movies in a while, but wasn't it Paulie (Burt Young) that had the robot? Burgess Meredith was Mickey. Did Mickey have a robot too?
every character got married to robots, just most of those scenes got cut
Dorkly makes sense to me
You done messed up Dorkly and you know it. It's alright, we still like you.
Dorkly That just sounds so dumb.
Dorkly except mick died in the previous movie
You also didn’t bring up how Sparrow was originally supposed to be a no-nonsense captain and that many scenes were vastly different. It was Depp’s edits which made Jack Sparrow the Sparrow we all know and mostly love. Mostly since they butchered his origin story in that last movie.
2:50 Tony's vocie sounds just like Hero from the Dragon ball dub
Tony, what a great Jack Sparrow voice.
Did I do it right?
They say the Original Pokemon the Movie's Mewtwo was really supposed to be Chuck Norris...
... they being me and my brain.
Well they eventually added the God Pokemon so...
The moment when you notice that the guy looks like Anne Hathaway...
Richter was the director of Buckaroo Banzai and writer of BTILC, but it was never intended to be a sequel. He was just brought in to re-write an existing story.
I came here for Monkey Island. Man, can't believe they didn't make it. Would've been awesome.
thesupplantor same, it would be more awesome than PoC
I felt like cutthroat island was kind of close.
This guy's impression of Jack Sparrow is the best I've ever seen. It made me forget all the problems of the world and feel like a child again. It was like flying with the wings of an eagle over a rainbow field of candy marshmallows singing happy songs.
Don’t ever stop being hilarious
wait... Burgess Meredith's character dies in Rocky 3. He doesnt even see the robot in Rocky 4. GET YOUR ROCKY LORE RIGHT!
Darn! I want the monkey island movie.
I've never heard Caribbean pronounced like 'cuh-RI-bee-an' with emphasis on the Ri. Where I come from it's pronounced 'ca-ra-BEE-an with emphasis on Bee.
Languages are pretty neat man
Hey, that was a pretty good crazy pirate impersonation. Very nice.
Bio-Dome was originally started as a script for Bill and Ted 3
A Good Day to Die Hard was the only Die Hard film that started life as a Die Hard film. The previous four all started out as adaptations of different novels but when plans kept falling through, someone came along, noticed that the story could fit John McClane in perfectly and the rest is history.

Where is part 2 of bidocalypse?
Let's see past rusty catches peanut butter
Bohemian Rhapsody i am patience i'm just execited What part 2 is gonna be
Tony, that was my favorite voice you've ever done.
I knew it! I knew Pirates of Caribbean was originally from Monkey Island!
That was a great pirate impression, you wonderful human being.
this is a compliment on your jack dad impersonation
Those impersonations were on point!
*THE PUPPET IS GONE!*
And the beard! Again.
*I WANT THE PUPPET*
The Rü the puppet was a psychic manifestation of his sentient beard
jeffry arrieta is that a thing or are you making a joke?
So DISNEY ANIMATION COULD HAVE MADE A MONKEY ISLAND MOVIE?!?! Dangit. I knew PotC felt too familiar.
Love the "Bo Diddley" t-shirt Tony
I really like Tony's facial hair when it's stubble like that.
That's a nice pirate impression
You completely missed Kevin Smith's Superman movie being turned into Wild Wild West
Tony we want the beard back!
Nice impression bud
Oli Snellings he was impersonating trump lol
Your impression was spot on.
I did, in fact, appreciate your impression.
that predetor design tho....i can just imagine what was going through his mind when he got benched
"JUANE CLAUDE VAN DAMN IT"
Don't worry, I never pay enough attention to remember your videos...
You forgot the original Toy Story, which was originally gonna be a 30-minute sequel to Pixar's own Tin Toy.
Your middle aged dad pirate impression is Impeccable! There I complimented you in the comments. Youre welcome
FYI, Ted Elliot also worked on another Disney pirate-themed movie called Treasure Planet.
The dog with prison keys scene in Pirates of the Caribean was even 1:1 taken from Monkey Island 2. xD
Here's a couple more that I know of....
Kull the Conqueror --> third Conan movie
Colombiana --> Mathilda, sequel to Leon, The Professional
It was Burt Young in Rocky IV, not Burgess Meredith. Your mistake has left me angered.
"70 minutes of enjoyable shlock" pretty much sums up any movie that Full Moon has put out.
The first fantastic Four movie came out in 1994 not in the 80's
who framed roger rabbit is actually based on a novel, if you can believe it.
The Pirates of the Caribbean always felt like a sequel to Treasure Island
A Monkey Island movie would be hilarious.
You have a great speaking voice, and nice hair. Are those enough compliments?
Uhhhhh isn't Pirates of the Caribbean based on Pirates of the Caribbean? You know the ride? A lot of Monkey Island's ideas are in Pirates script, but Elliot always intended to make a film based on the ride, ten years prior to it being greenlit. Add to that the cursed treasure and skeleton Pirates being a part of the original ride.
Burgess Meredith played Mick and didn't have a robot. You're thinking of Burt Young who played Paulie...
Burt Young's character Pauline was the one who got the robot in Rocky IV, you daft sods.
Great Johnny Depp voice, Tony. If I had my eyes closed, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
I've always wondered if that background is supposed to look like something from a kid's show?
Rocky vs an alien.. I can imagine Stallone's face if they pitched that idea to him 😂
I mean why not just have Monkey Island and Pirates of the Caribbean just be in the same shared universe. Nothing really intersects too much, but you get some connected lore drops, and the occasional tongue in cheek reference, finally ending in some batshit insane mashup sequel. Yknow. How Disney also did marvel
I kind of liked his step bother puppet. Wouldn't mind if they brought him back
Masters of the Universe was almost a DC New Gods movie, I remember reading that somewhere
The answer is don't think about it Morty
Your impression of a middle age men was the best!
I won't lie. I stop listening to your videos, because I get distracted by how much I like your face. 😊
so is the painting ever coming back to life again?
No rush but got anymore of them animations?
You missed Poltergeist and E.T. Both were originally going to be the same movie and the sequel to Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Judge Dredd was picked up, but was altered to a little known movie called "Robocop"
Dorkly how do I know Bidoof/Peanut Butter hasn't taken control of you guys and that this video isn't fake?
I love this channel and love watching these kinds of videos. But Tony reminds me of Craig from Dream Daddy. A smaller, dorkier version of Craig.
Burgess Meredith wasn't in Rocky 4; that was Burt Young!
It was *Pauly*, not Mick, who got the robot wife.
So, is wizard and the bruiser gonna do preadoter
Actually it was Paulie who got the robot maid thing in Rocky IV
Cool impression, Brah.
Can you do one for the video game?
Great pirate impression!
I trust you Tony, in this crazy mixed up world where there are no clear answers...
Dr. strange original can only be the first R rated super hero movie if it came out before Blade.
audio lower than usual ?
Big Trouble in Little China was NEVER a Buckaroo Banzai sequel. That is a myth.
I'd say Predator could be more of a next Rambo movie rather than Rocky one...
Hey Dorkly, you forgot District 9 which was originally going to be a Halo movie.
So does the robot show up in creed?
Of all the industry type of UA-cam channels
Dorkly you take the cake which this time isn't a lie you're my favorite industry UA-cam channel
If you didn't know what I call a industry UA-cam channel is when you are in a industry ( Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, etc) and you have a UA-cam channel
thank you for giving us the cake
Dorkly you're welcome here it is 🍰 don't forget your 🍽
What about Cool World? That one was rewritten almost completely.
about pirates, I have heard Jonney Depp changed that movie around quite a bit too.
Sick Bo Diddley shirt!
Forget it, Tony; it's Chinaclovertoongittesleafjaketown.
Dorkly, don't ignore me!!! Don't make me beg you!!!
Hey Dorkly. You forgot the 2007 movie for Dr. Strange. It is far superior to the 2016 one and it actually holds up unlike that Disney Inception Clone.
pokemon rusty needs to be released as soon as possible
Burgess Merideth dies in the third Rocky Movie.... Paulie got the Robot servant in Rocky 4
"Pirates of the Cribian" its Ca-ra-be-en
tomayto, tomahto
Nyuunosuke it's pronounced like "ciribian" inland
Tony said it right.
Maybe in this universe it is Cribean, but the movie people say Ca-ra-be-en. I am willing to suspend disbelief for the sake of an excellent movie.
Agreed
What about District 9 originally being a Halo film? I was just waiting for it in the list, but it never came. You swindled me.
I think that you're a good pirate.
Yeah. good pirate.
「 Doctor Panda 」 The funny thing about this is it's an oxymoron.
No pirate impressions ever.
well that explains that little bit family Guy did about Rocky going to mars to fight a Martians.
I took a Screenwriting class and we watch Chinatown and Roger Rabbit to show they are the same story.
Diehard was suppose to be a sequel to Commando.
Wow! That would have been a long stretch!
In honest trailers voice: "Bruce Willis plays as Arnold Swartszeneggers distant cousin cop which finds himself in a totally unrelated skyscraper!"
Good job dude
Aren't Monkey Island and Pirates of the Caribbean just based on the same theme park ride?
