Amazing video, thanks buddy! Keep those BMW videos coming.
nicely done I do mine the exact same way. silicone spray is a must, makes things much easier and is good for the rubber.
I wish you were my mechanic !! My guy said I need to leave the car all day to replace bushings for my 2004 bmw 325CI
Great idea, i have one handy and didn't think about it. Thanks!!!!
Hello thank’s for this video
Do you have the references of this tool?
Where can we buy it ?
Hi could you tell me whats the size of your gear puller ? thanks
Thank you!
You can sometimes get away with a pipe wrench as well.
Wish I had thought about getting that tool. Just attempted to pull the damn thing off after lubricating it and it didnt budge at all. Just had to put me car back together and warm up after freezing my ass of outside :(.
Hi, what brand of bushing do you recommend? Thanks. (2004 325i)

From Where i can buy the arm bushing tool remover?
2 jaw puller, search ebay or amazon
wd40 in the old bush first, then the whole thing comes off in one, put the new one in hot water for a while then put soapy water on mount and bush will go on with a hard push, takes 10 mins....
How much would a mechanic charge if I supply the bushings? Approx.
In dollars, it was 300$ for me
In the picture I thought I was ordering the whole lollipop. Opened the package and its just the bushings.......bastards......
What did expect for what you paid?
so how do I take these off without damaging them? lol
This is a part that degrades and needs replacing. Why take them off if they are in good shape?
replacing the control arm. My bmw e46 have inner ball joints that can't be pressed out as the back is solid unlike the front lower ball joint that has a quarter sized hole on the back for a ball joint press kit to easily push it out.. so I am having to replace the entire arm but the bushing are 100% good.. been trying to get them off without damaging them.. sofar no luck. :( stuborn bastards haha.
Yea, that is going to be tough. They are extremely stubborn. You might be replacing them along with your control arms.
Yeah just ordered the parts. Going for a full reinstall. Thank you for the surprisingly quick replies :D
Good luck with the repair
I can assure you that there is no easy way to replace control arm bushings.
