    Episode 5: Wildest area
    All episodes: • The Bear's Trail - 6 d...
6 days to ski 82 km (51 miles) in the Oulanka National Park (Oulangan kansallispuisto), in Finland, to try to reach the Arctic Circle and Lapland on Karhunkierros, the Bear's Trail.
No resupply points, only tent campsites in snow or simple wooden huts and lean-to shelters to spend the nights.
First half on a groomed trail, second half fully off-piste.
Freezing temperatures all along in late winter with a phenomenal quantity of snow.

A lot of footprints . Nice . I am fond of them. Maybe wolverine, yes . I am longing for the answer. Do. you your Oac skis ? I, ve heard they are good only for soft snow and not for icy one. You seem to cope well nonetheless.

@@jacqueshuard9302 Yes the OAC skis don't work well when the snow is not soft enough. On ice and hard snow they go all over the place, they will just slip wherever the slope leads and it's very hard to keep its trajectory. So yes, I struggled on some slopes when it was very cold. But otherwise they are light and easy to maneuver, large enough to stay on top of very light powder, and once you get the hang of them while descending, they are quite fun to use!
