@@MERTIE123 I typically redo mines every 8 weeks. Im kinda bored with the style but its getting me on a healthier hair hourney. Ive been wearing this style for over a year now. Lol so its time to find something different that will leep my hair growing and healthy.
@@MERTIE123 I moisturize my hair everyday to avoid it locking up. Thats what gives me the extra 3-4 weeks. At about week 8 they start to lock up at the ends a little so I take them out at that time. Its a very low manipulative style. But for damaged dry hair it takes a lot of hard work and effort to get your hair back on track even with them in. But im almost there. I see way less knots now and my hair is fairly hydrated still when I take them down.
@allaboutki yes. I'm excited to see how my hair gets back to it's healthy state. A friend of mine made me a concoction of hair products and I keep my hair oiled with it
Remember not to use heavy products like shea butter that can build up on your hair. Warm water and oil works great for moisturizing my hair. I do it every 3 days. Also keep track of your roots. If you feel them matting you should redo them.
❤❤today is July 8th, 2024❤❤and your hair turned out really pretty ❤ ❤my hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice ❤❤ I can't wait until I can do my hair like that ❤❤Thank you ❤ God's love and blessings to you 🙏 in Jesus name Amen 🙏 ❤❤
Thank you so much. God has you in his arms. May he keep you cancer free. I would be excited to see your hair growth journey!! Much love to you and be blessed.
@@jackiekay1996 thank you doll. And I leave them in for exactly 8 weeks. I found that to be the magic number for me before they start to try and lock up or get matted.
Looks great! I just got mine done 2 weeks ago. Im going to wear this style for a while to promote my hair growth

@@allaboutki it's been 2 weeks for me. My stylist said she wants to take them down and redo them about every 3 weeks. I don't want my hair to lock up

@@MERTIE123 that’s a great friend. Having 4c hair is very challenging to maintain. But once you figure it out its a breeze
Hey it’s nice, I’m trying to leave my braids in for 8 months
I wish i could go that long. My hair doesn’t do well if i leave it in any style more than 3 months.
@ yes, I hope I can cause it seems to lock, I thought maybe it was because I didn’t moisturize it enough
@ yea i try to wash my hair every 2 weeks and it tends to keep it from locking up. And i moisturize it everyday.

Your braids look great! How long do you leave them in for?
