This is so unnatural... just imagine the confused Ottomans. They're like "let's do this!" expecting you to counterattack, but then you move to Italy and they just stand there wondering where the hell are you going.
I think you should have culture shifted to Dutch once you got the Burgundian inheritance so you would be considered a Germanic emperor, reducing the cost of reforms.
@@Theplaymaker57 yeah, you may have been able to do it pre-1500 at that point with all of the IA you were generating from the rebels. You may have still wanted to wait to 100 for the revoke but otherwise I think it would have streamlined the process. In either case, I really enjoyed the strategy!!
If you break apart the bigger nations in the HRE by releasing small ones from them through war, then improving relations and trust, to can get pretty much get everyone to agree to a reform
Did they patch it in 1.36.2? I tried to do my run, became an emperor after my ruler died (so basically I rolled those rebelions a few times every 4 years), and I don’t get 10IA popup after pretender wins. I just get the next two spawn pretenders events and a popup that I’ve been elected again…
Just wanna say this strategy doesn't work. It only worked for you because your Leader had -10% AE and you got the alliance with Austria. I've tried 23 times to replicate this run in 1.36.0 and no dice. Austria never accepts alliance. I immediatly set threatened by ottomans and i scornfully insult austrian rivals but they still dont go friendly at +140. i assume i need the +150/155 and i cant affford gift due to events giving me debt
once you get mil tech austria will respect you more, and you dont need to get the same amount of provinces in italy you can take one less province. Create another vassal and get the +2 relations estate, but make sure its an orthodox vassal
Let me know if you guys prefer Camera or not, I want to make the experience the best for you guys.
ye camera's good you sexy bastard, only thing is maybe you should be a little more expressive
not.
camera is fine
for me personally it doesn't matter either way. but its pretty small so i didn't even really see your face while i watched the whole video haha
Unless you plan on looking into camera and creating the feeling that viewer is right besides you, its better off not using since its kinda distracting

byz gonna said "Now i am holy btw"
Inb4 1.36.1 Patch Notes:
-Nations with Byzantine Monarchy are no longer eligible for Holy Roman emperorship until they reform.
Or just make it so pretender rulers can't be elected
I think this strategy might be too niche to be patched. In either case- I’m doing this as my first 1.36 game!!
1.36.1 Patch notes: Fixed a rare bug where pretender rebels can trigger the 10 Imperial Authority event if they enforce their demands.
RIP infinite emperors
Please do a part 2 - finish off the classic Byz missions with your vassal swarm 😂
blessed and cursed at the same time )
Blursed

I did think about that, probably a good idea.

The amount of rebels is historically accurate.
7:25 that concentrate development coming back to bite you in the butt
Lmao, I had no idea I did that. 🤣
If only the Crisis of the Third Century had benefitted the Empire this much.
Finally, the holy roman empire is actually holy and roman

this is kind of cursed honestly
If you go Orthodox after religious peace and do the end schism mission will the reformation not appear in the HRE?
This is really clever, also maybe if you mend the schism the reformation wont spawn so fast, gonna try this soon!
Ultra Roman, Ultra Holy Empire.
I feel like I must be the only one who has bad RNG on my first ruler dying EVERY GAME in like 1445
Union of the Churches goes all in
I tested this with someone else and it looks like this is now patched. When the pretenders brake the nation you don't get the 10 IA event pop up
You could buy Palace Guards mercenaries early as they don't count to max force limit
when you manually convert, does it take the orthodox achievments away? because later you could re convert haha
Impressive!
The people rejoice at the sight of beautiful streamer face
Did you end up getting rid of the Union of the Churches estate privalege?
Beat the Habsburgs at their own game - nice 😏
Jeez, this playthrough was nuuuuts.
Any chance of continuing? Reform the roman empire?
Does this still work if you revert to the 1.36.0 beta on Steam?
🙏 Prayge Algorithm Gods
Hmmm can you pranoir your vassel swarm slowly integrating them lol?
actually doing this rn but i dont get IA when pretenders enforce, i must be missing something?
edit : it got patched lol

yes its patched
bro how did you get the ottomans to not dec on you? Feel like this run requires more savescumming than I realised...
You’re defender as HRE emp and ottoblob is pretty weak as thier mission tree is kinda gated behind capturing Istanbul/Constinapole
Damn a world record
Hello! With wich DLC can you focus on the points?
Res Publica DLC iirc
Ah yes the Heretic Roman Empire
This was funny as f, but it’s seems more easy to defeat turks 1v1 than go trough this hell of tediousness and micromanagement
If these true historical dynastic rebels would knew how they can exploit the reality :D
why didnt you move your trade capital to english channel earlier?
I simply forgot to
Why you deleting troops 😢 you can use them to conquer land while doing this
My eco can't support the troops.
gotta git rid of that nobility privilege for moral penalties to get stack whippes.
So cursed

whats all the pretender stuff about?
It’s the new Byzantium DLC, they now get pretenders a lot.
There's no reason you couldn't fight the ottomans at the same time as doing this lol.
You can't introduce an Heir during war. so you could run into some issues there.
You keep forgetting to delete useless generals, which wastes mil mana
why is it so borring on normal difficulty
You can just stop the maintenance
