Thanks for bringing back some memories. My friend and I hiked this same very trail right to the top back in 95. Then made it down too late. It got dark and we were still on the trails. My suggestion was to sleep on the trail and wait for sunlight. My friend suggested to carry one and walk in pitch darkness. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I literally walked with my hands on the wall the whole time because I knew the other side was a steep drop off. Animal noises were everywhere around us. I was exhausted. But my buddy shared with me a bag of M&Ms, which gave me energy to proceed. At approximately 1am, we saw a light pole from a parking lot down below. It was one of the happiest moment of my life.

@@Revolución_Socialista America is both a continent and a country, and that's alright. Just like there is the New York City and the state of New York, and so many other instances of places that have the same name.
Also, "United States" is just a title, the type that many countries get, which refer to how the country organizes themselves politically. Such as the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, the "democratic republic" of "somewhere" and so on. Most countries have such a title and a last name, but we recognize them by their last names. And it just so happens that the "last name" of the USA is America. This is in no way "stripping" South America of their right to say they live in the continent called America.

I konw how that feels. My mom, dad and I were there in '74, part of a 5 week roadtrip. My Dad had worked so hard for years without any time off, so I paid for everything. Glacier was his favorite; I could sense the stress and tension bleed out as he stood there, almost in tears! They both passed long ago, but whenever I see something like this, I think about how fortunate we were, to visit this place!!!
My daughters and I went to Glacier in 2005 for a week, and I know that, years from now, they will feel as I did!

The NP's have nothing to gain monetarily like those businesses associated with CO2 emissions like big oil or coal (talk about bias) who are linked heavily to the Republican party. If you need proof of global warming just go to Glacier and try finding any sizable glacier. Maybe we should rename it to something else once they're gone shortly...regardless of the precise year they all disappear :-)
