Generally, if you are opening/closing the face because of lie or surface, do you adjust aim as well, or should it keep the same line and only affect the loft?
Aim in the middle between the angle of your stance and the angle where the club face is pointing. Imaging your stance and the club face direction create a pie wedge, and you are trying to cut it in the middle, thats where you need to aim.
Matt, I'm from Argentina. One of our best amateurs (really amateur, those who have a job and plays golf on the weekends) is a +4. His rule: never hunt a pin outside wedge distance.
Ah, Matty-Boom-Boom, such words of wisdom! Lemonade skills, champagne expectations! Scores dropping like panties when you practice 1 ft putts relentlessly! Keep putting out great content! 😂😂
Getting out from a bunker, either 1 shot or 5 shots! Next time I'd tell my playing partner that I am practicing with the sand slapping, so eventually I can be more reliable on getting it out!
If possible, I would make a short vid on the proper stance for short game, many people make bad shots just because their balance points are all over the place. Then they cant get the club reliably onto the ball, because the body is trying not to fall over and all swing mechanics go out the window. @GolfSidekick
In my last round I struggled a few times around the green with the lie that is sat up and fluffy. My 58 went right under the ball and I only carried about 1 yard when I wanted to go 5 yards or so. Maybe a hybrid or wood is better out of these fluffy lies?
Now we have like a half bunker crap they got going on and if you hit it in there they claim you get relief but I hit my ball where it lies it's the craziest thing to hit out of
My main problem is having to hit over a bunker onto the green like in your 2ND lesson in this video? Majority of the time I will top the ball therefore winding up in the bunker itself
Typical round I am drinking so much I have no memory of anything, let alone those 6-8 foot puts I evidently picked up for my birdskie. (no memory). Which leads to my 11th biggest mistake around the green: That is, slamming vodka and watching Rick Shiels videos. Even though I have no memory of this, the fact I also suck so much more after watching those videos, means it must have happened.
"Practice this on the course, people wanna penalize you. They can go, suck an ass." LOL
Another great video Matty! I'm learning whilst being entertained simultaneously... Perfection👌
Shot 77 yesterday mate, you were on the course with me - keeping me out of trouble & stress free.
This $hit works!
That sand lesson is amazing. Thank you
You are the best golf teacher on YT.
I like your style. Thank you for the video
Great information Matt. Keep it coming.
It seems I misunderstood the 1 foot putt concept and now they call me Flamingo at the local course

Exactly
Try new things😊
Baus-tastic info here Playas. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I think I knew each one of these but do I put them into practice? No. Great eye opener as to the importance. Thanks dawg.
Great video Baus
If there’s a Nobel Peace Prize for common sense golf instruction you’d win it hands down.
My course is too broke to buy sand. Course is beautiful but they done away with all sand traps. I was always good at bunker shots too
Now we have like a half bunker crap they got going on and if you hit it in there they claim you get relief but I hit my ball where it lies it's the craziest thing to hit out of
how do you get out of tall 3ft+ bunkers?
Throw it
A ladder ?
My main problem is having to hit over a bunker onto the green like in your 2ND lesson in this video? Majority of the time I will top the ball therefore winding up in the bunker itself
Aim for the longest area on the green, sometimes it is far from the pin.
It gives you a lot of room to hit an aggressive shot
Gold Matty 🎉
Matty boom boom the strokes gained guru.
Alright, #10 is a good point
These are great tips! You forgot one...Titties to the target playa! Lol.
So true…!
4:37 felt like you were trying to NOT say "ass" but did it anyway

On a magic carpet ride, using that
Dropping shots “like panties.” I love this dude!,,,
In PGA, it is no longer a penalty to practice in the sand, and can even rest your club down before the shot as long as it doesn't improve your lie
The shorter the swing the more accurate you will be. Get the damn ball on the ground and roll it like a putt ASAP
great video!
haha lol Scores dropping like panties !! :)
Scores dropping like panties!
🤭🤣🥳😂😝
score is dropping…. like panties! 😂
lol scores dropping like panties
