Thank you Fr Alar for these talks. I am catholic who is trying to find my way back to God. These talks have been very good in helping me understand but I do have a question after this talk. When you have unconfessed sins that you have just remembered but you have been to confession recently. Can you still receive Holy Communion or do you need to go to confession first?
When i would go to reconciliation, i would end it with, and please fogive me for all the sins i was aware of or unaware of, and the sins i am forgetting at this time..that way it covers it all.

I am looking forward to Divine Mercy Sunday. However, I was surprised to find not all priests agree with this special day devotion. Such as Fr Mark Rodriguez from the Fatima centre channel. This causes a lot of anguish and confusion amongst Catholics. What are the reasons some parishes are not celebrating this day.

Hello Father. I can't seem to find any churches in my area that offer confession on Divine Mercy Sunday. (It's a shame) I was wondering if I went to confession tomorrow, Saturday, April 23rd and then mass on Sunday if the promise Jesus made for complete forgiveness of sins and punishment would still be fulfilled? Or, does confession need to happen on Sunday along with receiving Holy Communion? Thank you
Yes that would fulfill Jesus's request. Confession can be before Divine Mercy Sunday as long as you're in a state of grace

There is still something I don't understand. So Jesus died so we don't have to pay for our sin and the wage for sin is death. What does that mean? Death as in death of your soul?
So did King David in the Old Testament go to hell although he was repentant for committing murder and adultery?
Also, how do we know Jesus' death was enough? Why are there victim souls? I'm just really confused and still a bit unsure what exactly is meant by redemption and how Jesus dead gave us it. Could please explain because I desperately want to know.

No, David and Adam and Eve did not go to hell...that is church teaching. But they had to wait until Christ opened the door to heaven after his resurrection then they were reconciled back to God.

My kid went to a Lutheran church with his girlfriend. Is that communion real or not because there is no apostolic succession? Also, he said while the pastor was handing out "communion" the pastor would say your sins are forgiven? When he told me, I thought, that's not how this all works but want to verify it before I talk to him about it
It’s not actual communion.
Lutherans aren’t catholic. Shouldnt partake.
