Murders by guns, knives, blunt objects, or hands & fists is all the same at the end of the day. Regardless of what is used in the murder, it is still murder and the victim is still dead. I despise people who loves bringing up the number of gun murders in UK but blatantly disregards all other types of murders because it doesn't fit their agenda. Murder is murder. Although my Country Canada has some of the World's strict gun laws, we still have school shootings, mall shootings, gang shootings etc.. Due to our lower Population, we don't have as many shootings but they still occur! I find your sentence curious, you said "violent crime", did you include percentages? Did you include recent economic downturn all over the world?
