Congrats on the new ride! Excellent choice. That bike looks like a great deal of fun. All the best with the latest addition to your stable. Be well, ride safe! Looking forward to seeing future content on this bike.
I love your new bike. I think that is a perfect replacement. Some of the things you might do for that retro look. Have the front fender chromed, get chromed mirror caps, and have the exhaust cover chromed.
Wow, that's very cool I got mine in the green color right after I saw your video on it. Good luck with it. I got 3,100 miles on mine and have no problems yet at all and love it. Greetings from the NJ shore USA.
Funny enough I knew on Friday what bike you had got. A little bird told me when I was looking at one of these in Doble's and I mentioned your previous review of it. Great choice and nifty colour 😊
A great choice, 🙂 great for the lanes and B roads in Mid Wales, I love mine, (blue as well), very economical and really good with the high seat, I raised my bars by 32mm to retain the OEM triangle, you'll enjoy it 👍 2 things I don't like (I've owned 103 bikes) the key position and the small tank capacity, but the set up is great for my needs, it compliments my other 2 bikes really well 😄 I've added Oxford Heated grips, mirror extenders, Givi Hand-guards, Headlamp surround flyscreen, 10" front extender fender (a must) Givi Tanklock bag, rear rack and Givi top box, ideal for all my trips out 👍
@@Mrfish2015 I have 4 sets (2 x 22mm and 2 x 28mm fatboy) risers, adjustable from 22mm to 50mm in height, that lets you play with the heights, I found 50mm too high, 40mm was just a bit too tight for the full lock on the clutch cable so I went for 32mm which is fine for clutch cable and brake line, and this maintains the oem rider triangle. 👍 The adjustability is a godsend as you can accommodate nearly all bikes, to your favourite position, got them about ten years ago from M&P, but haven't seen any for ages, they were ridiculously cheap @ £12.99 a set, sign of a cheapskate pensioner 😃
That looks awesome. I've had a GSXS1000 for 8 years and I'm really looking for something smaller and I really like the look of these. Wonder what the seat is like? Looks like it might feel like a wooden plank after a tank of fuel lol
Must admit I love mine…although wish now I’d added the higher seat. 5”10 and it does feel slightly cramped on a longer trip. Got mine as a winter hack…great wee bike! Is it a B road blaster for sure…did 80 miles up the duller the other day and she held her own. Fuel consumption is good too. I’m on A roads to work….roughly about 160 miles before the fuel gauge starts to flash. It’s does like to throw shit all over herself though even with a front fender extender 😂. For the money though you can’t go wrong 👌
Looks like a Hillary to me. I know exactly what you mean, I went down to a Suzuki 650 VStrom after a big KTM, my talent is now a bit closer to the bikes ability. Great demo of your little Honda, you just can't go wrong with one of them.
I had my money on the cb500x. Nice to see you went on a different route. Classy bike, can't wait to see it in more vids. And we'll get to see more of the super cub!
Very nice… bikes don’t always have to break speed records to be good and useful. I think it’s a good looking bike. I’d say perfect for what you want it for 😀😀
Nice choice of bike and a nice colour too. I did a test ride on this last year and enjoyed it from the instant I started riding it. I've owned a CB500X in the past and I was a bit surprised that the CL500 felt different to ride. I dont know if there are differences in the gear ratios or the sprocket sizes. I was also wondering if the CL500 is comfortable for the pillion rider.
At first blush I was going to say "but it's too low for you!" but you got the high seat and you had one for a spell - so you knew exactly what you were getting and you're thrilled. So, well done sir!
I saw a couple of CL500s at my local Honda dealer a couple of weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised how much better they look in the flesh compared to the photos and videos I’d seen. Not sure if it’s the proportions, but they somehow look a lot more substantial in real life than in photos. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.
Good on you sir perfect bike for you considering your other bikes. It’s the engine for economy. Do you really need crash bars ? not a high seat use your legs lol
Nice. I like the look of this one compared to the one you test rode. I wasn't a fan of the high front mud guard. Can't wait to see it at the BOS meet up. 🚂🏍👍🏻👴🏻
Cool...Bet you change that fat exhaust 1st, lol...Definitely some crash bars, just in case you hit some ice in winter, lol...Oh and a wee rack....Nice one Mr Fish 🙂
Fender extender. Help keeping the radiator clean. Ever tried those handlebar mittens? I have a pair that I use on my Meteor 350 when it's chilly. As good as they work I imagine if I had heated grips also I could probably ride when it's absolutely frigid. 🥶😎
I was so disappointed when I rode a CL, I love my 500F and really want to replace it with an X, my wife has the Rebel, which I’m not a fan of, it feels too long as does the CL. A feeling that is confirmed by the longer wheelbase. Instead of feeling like a scrambler, it feels like a Rebel with a tall seat. Triumph has embarrassed Honda on how to make a scrambler and it’s 400 is heaps cheaper too!
NICE. i feel like there's a huge lack of content on this bike. I have been considering buying one and building into a supermoto style bike. K-speed has some really trick bits that would really liven up the bike.
Well I never a 500 scrambler!! A bike that has not grabbed my attention until now,big change for me would be the end can and hoping its on your list cos it will be a good face lift plus also these bikes don't seem popular I may be wrong( after all I am married and hear it a lot) but deals may be had given its lack of sales we'll see. Any way think you will do it proud. Hurry up and start moding. 😊
Fantastic motorcycle. King of Commute. King of Reliability.
It's a Honda 😊 worth every penny.
This bike can live happily on all roads.
Well said!
Love Doble Motorcycle team each department treats us customers very well indeed.
I agree 🙌

Nice one fish...cool machine I think...😊

I wonder if the exhaust will roast the arse in summertime. Enjoy the bike.
No it won't .

All good stuff

Fantastic
Ridden quite a few Honda’s, they are good bikes to ride. Just often not got a wow factor, but they are surprisingly good.
What a day...

Can’t answer on the pillion but it gives its max torque at 500rpm lower
Love the colour happy your happy mukka

That engine sounds like a throatier version of my old CL350 from long ago.
Good choice. Nick
BlueBell the CL ...!
Hand guards ... Will be cool ... Great little bike ... and glad its not an Adventure bike that will never go off road lol

Not as long as the 125 😂
Hi Mr Fish good replacement for you for the Honda CB125F.
Nice bike
I’m looking for something around that size

Second choice Kawasaki Z500
I do like the look of that bike, Regarding the crash bars GET THEM ON NOW!!! knowing your rep lol

Please report on exhaust heat. Curious whether an issue in warm weather
I had one for 2 weeks last year and never noticed anything, maybe more of a pillion problem 😂

👍
Why would they put a 19” front on a commuter bike?
Because they can ..
