This documentary, THE IRON LODGE: NATIVE AMERICAN SPIRITUALITY BEHIND BARS is about Native American men behind bars, some for life. Men who have vibrant important stories to tell; stories filled with personal pain and tragic histories; yet stories filled with spirit, hope, wisdom and hard lessons learned. Through resourcing inner strength gained from practicing their own traditional cultural and sacred ways these individuals show how they create a lived experience of freedom in prison; how they rise to the challenge of building personal self-esteem, a sense of purpose and at the heart of it all, a reason to live.
