(NAE) - I think so, it happens to me quite a lot. You can see it for yourself though: login to your Google account for example, log out, connect a VPN, try to log back in. It should ask you to verify that this really was you trying to log in :)
Yes that's a possibility, but once you take the suspicious IP and search for it in a lookup tool like Virus Total it will be from an obvious VPN vendor and you can rule it out.
Professor, can you please clarify the difference between concurrent session usage and impossible travel? it seems that both pertain to the axiom "normal people cant be in two places at one." Please assist in understanding the difference beacuse i would hate to get a question on the exam where concurrent session usage and impossible travel are two options in a 4-5 option MCQ
Concurrent session usage is about simultaneous logins from different locations or devices, while impossible travel focuses on sequential logins from locations too far apart to be realistic in the given timeframe. In regards to security indications, concurrent session usage is difficult and impossible travel is relatively easy
PROFESSOR MESSER YOU ARE GOATED
Commenting because it's a small way to try to pay you back for the equivalent of a community college associate's degree I've gotten from you for free.
Grateful for your labor of love! Thank you.
Thanks professor!
For Impossible travel, is it possible to have a false positive if the user is using a VPN ?

Yes but also for certain systems in orgs you are expected to login without the use of a vpn
What type of job can one apply for after clearing security +?
