Same question as Angie and Ashley....did they convert the points to blocks towards the end of the 40 mins and then start building until the timer went off?
Thanks! They loved this one so much. It was great to get kids excited about learning and pushing them toward doing higher ordered thinking skills throughout. Smiles all around from students to their teacher!
Super Excited to add this mid-unit "battle" into my game - thanks Michael!.....one "task" idea would be to have kids recreate something from the unit in lego or play doh and have another team member write out how it connects
The reactions are what I miss the most. The investment students have in their buildings, the emotion, the buy in. I like how they involved the students at home. Currently looking for ideas for when we go back hybrid. Thanks for sharing, Sir!
Each envolope started with one item and then they earned some throughout by me giving groups some after completing them. It was not a one for one but close to it.
👏🏼👏🏼💐👏🏼 Superb! Thanks for sharing, Mr M!
So fun! Did they get the blocks after the dice roll and start building then or was there a separate building time at the end?

So how did students earn the power-ups for this activity?
