i like the idea that the crusher is the evolved form of the runner like a pretorian is the evolved form of the warrior
I love the special Aliens of the expanded universe, and I wish some give them a special movie to shine, just imagine a movie with the flying Alien Queen from Alien Armagegdon causing havo in a city

I probably noticed this when it came out too tbf but looking back, the similarities between the Xenomorph variants in Colonial Marines and the special zombies in the Left for Dead games are so obvious it hurts... Lurker = Hunter, Boiler = Boomer, Spitter = Spitter (Obviously, but could also be compared to the Smoker), Crusher = Charger/Tank. I wish they hadn't taken that approach and tried something more original but I did still enjoy the game as a whole.

I like to imagine, if only to blend the movies and game universe together in a sort of headcanon, that the variants in Colonial Marines could have been potential designs for the various nonhuman-born Aliens in the rejected Alien 3 screenplays, particularly the Gibson and Ward scripts.
IF the Gibson script, Maybe the Crusher was born from a bull or rhino in the Eco Module. While script only mentions lemurs and monkeys, it's possible the Eco Module functioned also as a kind of zoo, and had all sorts of other animals - from Earth and from other planets.
IF the Ward script, Maybe the Crusher came from the sheep.
I remember when I was like 9, me and my brother kept running in circles and Screaming cause it both does a lot of damage and very fast, and just cause of that we gave it a Nickname called “ The bull alien” cause it sometimes charged at both of us.

I love it and still play it from time to time with the templargfx mod.
I don't mean to be rude or mean or THAT guy, but Lurkers are clearly the exact same kind of xenomorph that was encountered on the USCSS Nostromo. It sure didn't look like a sub-species or variant (or a mutation or diseased etc.). It was / is the original kind of xenomorph that was introduced to the franchise and series. It sure looked like an adult to me.
Also, Lt. Ellen Ripley didn't cause the explosion of the atmosphere processor on Acheron / LV-426. The soldier xenomorph that got onboard the marines' dropship #1 and killed Spunkmeyer and Ferro caused Ferro to lose control of the dropship, which caused it to crash into their APC and the Weyland-Yutani atmosphere processor and damage it which led to its explosion. That lone soldier xenomorph caused all of that destruction and killed itself in the process. A true Kamikaze xenomorph if I ever saw one.

I swear all this new xenomorph variants should be introduce in Alien 5 and the scene should probably be the aftermath of the nuclear explosion on LV 426.I also believe the crusher is a evolve runner as both have lots of similarities.
They've returned in Aliens: Dark Descent!
I feel this makes more sense as an "ox alien" as in Alien 3's assembly cut, rather than the Runner which makes more sense as a "dog alien".
The Ravager from AVP Extinction, scares me more than the Crusher from Aliens Colonial Marines. Though the Crusher being quadriped, makes them faster.
I agree also love the idea of the carrier from AVP extinction oozing slime for its face huggers to survive on. A walking face hugger dispenser. terrifying.

In the next movie I'd rather see 3 or 4 variants over 100 warriors
Warriors are my favorite type, and I also want new variants over a billion warriors! (And by warriors I mean the ones in the second movie.)

They're the most interesting variant.
That's an awesome new alien to the universe and definitely need to admit to the list. Though, I was always under the impression that each alien got their traits from their host. I also think that the crusher has, at first glance, a cockroach look to it because of it's large crest.
You know, I know Aliens Colonial Marines was a bad game but I still enjoyed running around on LV 426 blasting aliens with a pulse rifle.

I really don't understand the praetorians.
Like, in the "AVP extinction" game, it was shown there was a praetorian facehugger and now this video says it's because of royal jelly.
Avp is a separate universe. I focus on praetorian from alien universe.
I think the crusher is more of a specialized combat form. You know the tyrannids? after killing and eating space marines a new bio-form was made specifically dedicated to be bullet sponges.
The parallel is just too muc of a coincidence

I have a question : can a Runner/Crusher turn into a Adult Queen I mean if the Crusher are for the Runner the stage of a preatorian then is it possible?
Simple answer :
Yes they may, every single xenomorph can turned into ''Queen'' if their original Queen died/perished.

Don't count on a good Alien/Aliens movie again. The Soviet Republic of Disney owns 20th Century Fox, so the heady days of gritty sci-fi from that studio are dead.
Seems like no one bothered to watch the Aliens movie or read its novelization. The movie had no indigenous life, so no new Alien organisms could arise without hosts. The novel states that nothing more complex than a flat worm lives there.
