Blacksmith Forges Christmas Damascus Knives Part Two - The Blades
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 гру 2018
- Part two of my Christmas rush saga, I forge out the blades from bars cut out of the damascus billets I forged in the last video, although I skipped some of the forging because I was very pressed for time. I then grind them down, polish them, etch them, then make the handles and scabbards, so follow along, if you will.

I officially have a new binge watch. I have to catch up on all of your videos. Those knives and scabbards are beautiful.
I dont get how you arent more popular on youtube. So informative and a entertaining to watch. New sub you have Sir.
Me neither, lol. Thanks! Welcome aboard!
Great looking pieces. good Information about forging Damascus.
Thank you!
Nice job man
Thank you!
I'd really like to see how you make those sheaths
I will do a video on it at some point. I meant for this to be a longer series with more detail on each step, but I got so far behind that I couldn't think about filming :(
Also, a point on nomenclature: if you've ever wondered the difference between a sheath and a scabbard, it's that scabbards are hard and sheaths are soft. So, if it's wood, metal, etc., it's a scabbard. If it's nylon, leather, etc., it's a sheath.
@@Wolfsdenforge yeah you sounded rushed. It's good to see you making vids again. And thanks for the info :)
Hey, with the scabbards, are you using the leather for the welting?
Yes, and I harden it up with super thin super glue. The stuff that's runnier than water.
