That really pisses me off they’ll put Beverly Hills cop out on Blu-ray but they won’t put knives out glass onion on 4K and at least give Beverly Hills Axel F 4K so we can complete the trilogy in 4K

On the waterfront, All the Kings men, A Man for all Seasons all won the best picture Oscar! It’s definitely worth buying that box set!
Ken don't worry. You're still young. You can catch up. You just didn't get around to it is all. You are a busy family man. You have an impressive collection. I know these films very well as I have seen them many times. But I chose to focus more on watching rather than on my relationships. No need to feel bad. I myself greatly appreciate the service you provide with these announcements. And I look forward to these reports. I'm single pretty depressed and broke most of the time myself. Your videos help me have a reason to get up in the morning. So screw haters. You totally deserve to be here in the film space. As it turns out you are not just ken! I got a bachelor's degree in film. It bothers me that Starman 4K is stuck in one of these stupid Columbia house boxes.
Yep, it forced me to get a copy from those dirty pirates. But if they ever do release it as a standalone, I will definitely buy a copy.;)
I agree with you guys if people quit buying these sets maybe they would release them separately it's a lot of money to pay for the Water Front 4k
I have not bought any of those sets. Only one title out of each volume I actually want. So would be waste of money to buy a set for one movie.
I deliberately avoided seeing X and PEARL so I could see the entire trilogy when it was complete. So I'll buy the 4K and Blu-ray boxed set when it comes out.
RUN LOLA RUN is a must-have.

I will be picking up volume 5. A Man For All Seasons won best picture that year. It is also one of Kevin Smith’s favorite movies.
It's a shame a lot of these movies get locked into streaming services. Would love Totally Killer, El Camino, and Glass Onion on 4k blu ray. Not to mention what I would pay for 4k releases of some of the shows like Stranger Things, Ozark, Orange Is The New Black, Black Mirror, etc.
They actually did a Steelbook of El Camino a few years ago. I doubt it’s still available, but may be able to find on EBay.
That looks like an awesome set, actually. Some Oscar winning best pictures. This is one i might buy!
I wish Storytelling was 4k. I have a hard time paying $27 for a blu-ray. It's a great film though. I'm probably one of the 20 people who saw it theatrically when it came out. 😂

Bewitched is also being released on Bluray in Australia but in 4 volumes rather than 1 set. From Viavision I believe - details on volume 1 (Season 1&2) later this year. Looking forward to that.
Hi Ken, I saw Maxxxine in theaters this weekend, and man I loved it Mia Goth was my favorite part she nailed it as Maxxxine. I don't know why Criterion just gets the rights from Lionsgate and they release X And Pearl, I mean they did it for Uncut Gems and that's an A24 film.

I personally own Pearl 4K and X on 4K through Turbine Germany. X is quite soft visually, but Pearl is quite vibrant.

Another cool announcement from like a day or two ago, Kino Lorber is going to do a Blu-ray of the Monk movie, which was previously a Peacock streaming exclusive. Should be a nice release to cap off the series, as they also released Season 1-8 over the course of this year

Hey Ken 👋 I have overseas 4k Steelbooks of X & Pearl so I'll wait till Maxxine comes to 4k. I've ordered Beverly Hills Cop Axel F on Blu-ray & it's coming, or 4k in the future months. Two movies I've pre-ordered and they both arrive tomorrow at my doorstep...Twister on 4k & The 4k Steelbook of Civil War plus today I'm getting China O Brain on 4k double set cool 😎

Another channel mentioned this weekend the Columbia Classics 4K Vol. 5 coming out as early as September, no actual release date. Don't care for one or two movies in each boxset, but love bulky packaging. Have all 4 boxsets so far, will continue to buy these as they are released. I'd like to see Sony put out Twentieth Century Fox 4K classic movie boxsets now that they are partnered with Disney.

I wanted to get the Fall Guy steelbook from Walmart, but couldn't get confirmation that it includes the extended cut. Some sources I've seen claim that all the 4K editions include the extended cut, and Walmart even lists 3 discs for the steelbook, but I only see the actual "Extended" advertisement on the one that Ken showed.

@@pieterbalk-ht7kq Yeah, I'm just gonna wait on confirmation. Wouldn't be interested in it if it's only Blu-Ray. And it's not because I don't think any Blu-Ray transfers are worth watching, it's simply because I'm paying for 4K and I'm likely going to only watch the extended cut, so....

Honestly, I grabbed the Blu-ray and it looks great. Most modern movies will, so I say just grab it. Maybe wait a couple weeks for a small price drop though.
Just for your information , ON THE WATERFRONT, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS,ALL THE KINGS MEN, are all Oscar winners, and great movies. Please, I suggest you and some of your audience watch these phenomenal films before aging judgements. You have learned a great deal about films since I first saw your channel 3 years ago. Don't buy the set..but somehow watch the films. Volume 3, which you mentioned, had FROM HERE TO ETERNITY which also won an Oscar, and a supporting actor award for Frank Sinatra, which restarted his career. Judgements, judgements...

Gerwig's version is a wan ghost flower to Gillian Anderson's 1994 classic with Winona Ryder. Not a fan of Gerwig or this movie and wish Sony had had the foresight to acknowledge Gerwig's movie has not been around long enough to be considered a classic, if indeed, it should ever attain such status. Anderson's movie is, however, beloved and much wanted. Wish Sony had picked this. Also, it would have been nice of Sony to finally release two movies that have yet to get even a Blu-ray release: Streisand's The Mirror Has Two Faces, and George Stevens' The Talk of the Town.

I’m okay with Columbia Classics Vol 5, All the Kings Men is a classic and. A man for all Seasons has A superb Oscar winning performance from Paul Scofield and won six Oscars and all the major BAFTAs as well. I believe it releases late September.
Wow!! Headache....I really wish u would put out 2 separate videos, 1 for real cinephiles who are really wanting great films on 4k.like all kings men.on the waterfront. Man for all seasons. Some of best films ever made! And then pretty much another video for most the other movies you mentioned there. BTW. Just heads up Netflix are not in any way shape or form interested in physical media, it's literally the opposite end of the entertainment spectrum. They are fast food of entertainment. Yea stop buying Columbia classics when they first come out… Vol 3 is still for sale at $88 and i bought it at $75. Vol 4 is at $138 again buy it when it gets under $80. All Sony steelbooks get reprinted if they sell out. Stop selling everything out in pre-order and prices will go down… common sense..
The previous versions of 1933,1949, and 1994 of Little Women are all great and interpret truthfully from the original book of Little Women. I particularly like Winona Ryder as Jo March in the 1994 version of Little Women, but not only is the Greta Gerwig 2019 version worse then the previous iteration versions of Little Women, but in my opinion Greta Gerwig's Little Women is one of the worst movies ever made in my opinion. Unlike the book and previous movie versions to the 2019 version,the character Jo March and Professor Bhaer hardly get along, really do not have a relationship, and the age difference in the 2019 of the characters Jo March and Professor Bhaer are relatively the same age, unlike in the book and all the previous versions of Little Women to the 2019 versions their is a big age gap. In the book,1933 version,1949 version, and 1994 vesion Jo March and Professor Bhaer love each other sincerely and in the end of the movie marry each other, unlike the 2019 version where Jo March makes a statement she does not need anyone. In many Grwta Gerwig does in movies it seems she likes to manipulate the stories in movies to demonstrate that all men are bad. What also is horrid about the Greta Gerwig's 2019 Little Women is the unnecessary jarring jolting moving back and forth of the timelines to make a movie mess of irriration confusion. The director Greta Gerwig is an idiot in my opinion.
Crap selections, on Columbia Classics 5..... Do you know what was one of Columbia's Highest earning film of 1968? Funny Girl, with Barbra Streisand. It is already streaming in 4k. SONY Where is Barbra???? Funny Girl, Funny Lady, The Way We Were, again SONY where is Barbra in 4k?

All these upcoming announcements of catalog titles are nothing new just recycling old catalog titles that already been released on bluray. But now in 4k at a higher price tag what a joke. Bc we still
have not gotten half of the catalog titles that still only available on DVD to this day. And viniger syndrome new announcements of upcoming releases are nothing to write home about or worth owning. Bc all of these upcoming films releases are way over price for these kind of movies. And day one for Beverly hills cop axel-f on bluray. And I can care less about maxxine bc X was so overrated and not that good. And day one for fall guy on 4k & day one for horizon on 4k. And Kino releaes of link on 4k is a good movie. Bc I owned Kino bluray release of link and its not about big foot. Link is about scientists doing research study & trained chimps but turns out deadly for them. And Already order twister on 4k & Abigail on bluray & boy kills world on 4k. And I remember seeing turbulence in theaters back in 1997 and don't waste your money on buying turbulence not a good movie at all very boring movie
