RIP. Yeah, taking the Radius upgrade on fireball does have that downside. Maybe that upgrade wasn't necessary for the way you use it. Good you're really digging this game. Getting to realm 10 for where you're at isn't bad. On your 2nd start, I would suggest it's often worth checking the rifts before you choose your 1st spell. Void Beam is a great spell for sniping gates through walls, which you hinted at before. Nightmare Aura will hit gates through walls as well, albeit slowly.
Haha, thanks my friend! I just love this game. I am going to stream it this week so I can learn more. I can explain the basics but I am still learning so much that I think I will shift into a Let's Play for this or a more "learn as I learn guide" as I am still finding new ways to die haha. I agree about the radius upgrade--it was a good idea for value, but it limits use in close quarters. Kind of like pets, I have to watch where they fire! haha. I didn't know that aura gets walls! That's cool!
@@DrIncompetent The aura doesn't remove the walls, but the damage doesn't require LOS, so it goes through them. I assume to get an aura build going you gotta get skills that re-deal more damage off of the smaller 2 damage ticks that the aura is limited to. Good luck. I'll try to tune in when you're playing.
@@DrIncompetent Also. You were talking about being confused about where damage was coming from. Get in the habit of pressing 'm' to look at the crawl-style message log.
