The problem with this shifter is the fact that the sensor break so easily and can't be calibrated anymore. It's a reccurent problem, like me, many people are at their like third shifter and just gave up to receive one that doesn't break after some time. The QC is really terrible
Really?? To be completely truthful, After doing some quick digging in Moza’s discord, OC Racing’s discord and Boosted media’s, I have found a few instances of that Happening yeah… I can only review what I receive, as You know, but to maybe help others I’ll heart & like the comment :) Ty for the info, and I hope You ( and everyone else ) find a shifter that doesn’t fall apart! 🫡
I haven't used the Moza but the aliexpress is pretty shit. It's loud and vibrates if you have any type of haptics. I took it off and switched to the Moza sequential shifter. It's loud too but does not vibrate with haptics
Yeah, Moza's quality is shockingly good for the price. I wouldn't be surprised if even after testing more budget shifters the Moza HGP would still be My budget pick!
You want to make sure you get the slightly more refined ones with the hall sensors though, and the layer of acrylic plastic underneath the aluminium gates for sound dampening. Branded as Oddor, Project D or Tamaka
Hello! To be honest, I haven't tried nor seen any content on the SHH Thorn, though it is definitely one that I've put on the bucket list! From what it looks like though, the Moza HGP Shifter is made fully out of Aluminium rather than 3D-Printed plastic like on the SHH Thorn. So I would most likely recommend the HGP over the Thorn. Correct Me if I am mistaken though! :)
@@Sim_Pulse nah the housing is kinda trash, but if it mounted to a rig via a L-shaped bracket it doesnt matter, just dont get their bracked, because it is also plastic. Made my own from 5mm aluminium i had lying arroung. But the shifter feels nice and switching so quickly between seq and h-pattern is nice if you regularly switch between normal driving and rallying/drifting.
To be honest, not sure :/ I don’t have an R3, so I cannot confirm nor deny whether or not it works on Xbox. My apologies, and I hope You find Your answer soon!
To be honest, Moza R5 all the way! - I recently made a review on the entire Moza R5 Bundle where I mention that despite the fact that I actually bought My CSL DD, I still drive My Moza R5 to this day just from how small it is, the quality of both the motor and force feedback, and the insanely good quick release! :) Link to the R5 review: ua-cam.com/video/VzzfuOWJddQ/v-deo.html
Not everyone has the budget, nor reason to get one when first starting out! 🙃 - Though it has been an upgrade I've been needing to get for a while now..

Great video! Great review, structured and well informed. Thanks for the insight, your channel is massively underrated. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! :D
Brilliant! Which of these shifters would be best for ETS2?
Probably the one that shifts
Jokes aside, the Moza HGP Shifter will probably do great, especially for the price :)
your channel is so underrated dude....keep it up ☺☺☺
Thanks!! Put a lot of work into these reviews :)
Very good video, I hope your channel grows, because you`ve got some quality content here, keep it up!
Thank You!! :D 50+ Hours go into each video, so I appreciate the kind words!
Hopefully this whole UA-cam thing works out
We all waiting for "Roast my setup" series 😁

wish it was quieter and not the loud clicking noise when shifting
The generic aliexpress shifter is the best budget shifter, it only lacks a table clamp
To be honest, I'm yet to try one.. Maybe I'll make an updated video if this UA-cam thing goes well :)

@@Romad_20lol seq shifters are supposed to be loud! They’re in real life 😂learn how racing gear actually is and sounds before complaining!
What about the shh thorn?

SSH shifter is king, if they would make a proper housing and better way to connect the usb cable.
It works in xbox series x with the R3 Bundle???
To be honest, not sure :/

@Sim_Pulse ok I think I'll go with Moza, also did U get boost kit with your fanatec
@ I indeed did, and tbh I haven’t found a reasonable difference in terms of raw torque output between the two over My time driving both.
@@Sim_Pulsethanks will be subbing to you on all my accounts
How don’t you have an aluminum rig

Idk about budget its over 220 dollars cad where im at
Compared to other products you probably can call it a budget option
@ it comes to 300 total with taxes and shipping
Overall that’s still not awful, only $50 USD over retail.. which I still would pay for the HGP all things considered
@@Sim_Pulse yeah but it still aint no budget shifter
$150 is not budget bro 🥲
Compared to some of the options out there.. pretty budget if You ask Me 😳😭
