Probably because they were not born or too young to remember Andrew and Fergies royal wedding. It was televised in the USA and we all watched it. It was a big deal back then.

People started to nitpick what she did once she got nominated for les Mis (she also entered a bit of pretentious phase during that time, just watch her at the Golden Globes), but they eventually moved on to Jennifer Lawrence. I think their crosshairs are currently pointed on Brie Larson.
As an American, I don't mind Simon Cowell when he was being honest, but there were times when he was rude and insulting- completely inappropriate.
Will Simon's son ever audition on one of Simon's shows? Simon still has not married his son's mom, has he?
If you didn't know about Prince Andrew, your mind will really be blown when you find out there's another one- Prince Edward!

Roxanne Pallet is an ex Emmerdale actress who went on the final series of Celeb Big Brother and accused Ryan Thomas (Corrie actor) of assault whilst on the show... The whole thing was seen on camera (obv!) which showed she did not get hit, there was major backlash from the public and domestic violence groups...

Haha your comments about Piers Morgan were great! I think he and Simon Cowell could make anybody cry! But Piers rips you to shreds in the most elegant way, while Simon Cowell just comes across as a blunt, mean guy.

Even if it is a character, it’s perpetuating hateful ideologies, which is hurting people. The moral way to play a character like that is to either use it to show the humanity behind the person and why they would come to such harmful beliefs, or always be sure that there is a rebuttal to the character showing how it’s wrong. For instance, in JoJo Rabbit, the main character is a Nazi youth, and it shows how he would be influenced to believe something so horrible. Hitler is also a character and the movie makes huge strides to make a fool of him. That’s how you can morally put on an immoral persona.
Plus the reasoning behind "liking" Katie after the documentary. If she isn't actually lying in the documentary you are liking someone for lying about what her opinions "really" are, filling people who do feel that way with the warm feelies that they aren't really hateful.

Roxanne Pallett was on Emmerdale and she was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother that accused another contestant of assaulting her. She completely made it up and the cameras on the show proved it. I’m an American and love the British version of Big Brother so I followed that drama closely.

When I saw this title, the first name that popped into my head was Piers Morgan. As an American, I'd obviously heard of Simon Cowell. I'd heard of James Blunt but knew nothing about him. I was surprised to hear that J&L weren't very familiar with Prince Andrew before the scandal, because I'd heard his name many times, despite having little interest in the royal family, though I'm not sure exactly how he's related to the rest of them.
Richard Todd Andrew is a younger brother to Charles.
Prince Andrew is son of Queen Liz II. There is also a 3rd youngest son, Prince Edward. So andrew is prince william and prince harry's uncle.
There are a lot of people in the british royal family. As my father always said about the british royal family.... "The british royal family, they're not very british, they're not very royal, and they're not much of a family."

I think the reason people disliked Simon Cowell wasn't so much because he is honest but because in the beginning of American Idol he was mean. It's one thing to tell someone that they aren't star material it's another to tell them that you suck so much my grandma is spinning in her grave. some of the things he would say to contestants were just cruel. Fortunately he appears to have calmed down a great deal and maybe even grown a heart. I don't dislike him anymore, I respect him now for being honest and having a heart.

I just commented below. When she chose the name “India” for her kid there is an English tradition of using this name. In Gone With the Wind, the sister in law of Scarlett is named India. A name going back to the antebellum south pre civil war thus mid 19th century.

I love Katie Hopkins. You guys might want to listen to her opinions in full context and listen with an open mind. Conservative ideals are not about being “Anti.” Conservatism is about conserving what is good about culture and society. Let’s not kid ourselves most if not all institutional barriers for minorities are gone. No laws in the books forbidding minority groups from partaking as equal members of society. Now peoples shortcomings are due to parenting not laws. The individual just needs to step up without excuses now. The western world is the best for all.

I don't care if it's just a persona because words have power and can have negative implications for people's lives.

I enjoy Simon's honesty. I hated seeing parents send their kids for auditions and they were awful. Tell your kids if they are bad, it's that simple.

I am an American and I like Simon I like his honesty I like how he just tells it how it is . But in general celebrity don’t care about you till they need you to come see there movie .
We think he’s a good guy now he really changed his tone since now he is married and has a child so that’s been nice I think we do respect the honesty and I do feel like that is part of his job so I’m thankful for him on the show.

Two of my favorite British celebrities were Jennifer Paterson and Clarissa Dickson Wright, (Also known as the Two Fat Ladies on the cooking show of the same name here on The Food Network in Great Britain I think it would be the BBC) I loved those two, a lot of the celebs you mentioned I've never heard of so I can't say that I don't like them. I think the reason why people don’t like James Blunt is because his song was played over and over and over. I’ve seen this with Britney Spears and other celebrities. They will be the biggest thing for a while and then everybody gets tired of them and starts hating on them. I’ve always hated they way they are treated.

I'm an American who actually knows who Joey Barton is. The last time I saw him in the Premier League(2012)...he got red carded for elbowing an opposing player. And as he's leaving the pitch he head butted and kicked 2 other players...lol. Definitely hated by football/soccer fans
As an American, I confess, I only knew of about 4 people on that list.
1. I quite like Simon Cowell. He could be more diplomatic, but there’s a lot to be said for honesty.
2. I also like James Blunt. I don’t know why people wouldn’t.
3. Prince Andrew - Don’t know of the rumors. Don’t honestly care. Hope he’s not a pedo.
4. Piers Morgan comes off as a major douche, who thinks he’s superior to others. I’m not surprised people don’t like him. I enjoyed watching video of him being called out about gun control by Ben Shapiro. That was fun.

Been fans of your channel for a long time. A couple comments...
1) Why do so many people continue to confuse (some intentionally) illegal immigration with immigration. Most conservatives are pro LEGAL immigration, but many from the left skew that view as "anti immigration". It's a liberal talking point that is absolutely false. Why perpetuate it?
2) The party that for decades has preached tolerance and inclusion has become the party of hate. Weekly, there are reports of conservatives being attacked (in the US) in stores, colleges, restaurants and other public places. This applies to the LGBTQs...unless you agree with them they speak volumes of hate toward you. It's stunning really.

I like Simon he actually does have a ear for music and knows when it is good and he knows if people are going to like it, or if the worlds gonna like it... 💵 💰 he’s funny when something is bad.. also if he jumps the gun because he just didn’t feel it at first he will own up..
You are absolutely right. He didn't become A multimillionaire in the music industry by not knowing talent when he saw it. That is what made him a millionaire many times over. He generally is right on the money. If he makes a mistake, he rectifies it. He has a good sense of humor, sometimes a bit grumpy, sometimes harsh. But I believe sometimes contestants need to hear the god's honest truth. And nobody else will say it. I enjoy seeing him on the various shows he's on.
He's correct most of the time, like when he stops someone singing and asks.... "Do you have a second song?"

I KNEW Simon would be on the list!!! I disagree with your assessment on why he is disliked. I don't mind honesty, It isn't HONESTY that people have a problem with.... It's FINE to tell someone that they are not talented, (that's his job) but the thing that people have a problem with is the EXTRA Mean comments that are unneccessary. Example: When he told the small guy with big eyes that he looks like an animal in the jungle and there are PLENTY of other examples like that. (I'm an american) It's one thing to tell a person: "NO, you didn't make it" but it's something else to be nasty about it. BIG DIFFERENCE.
