Honestly I've found that playing with the "x2 VP but they trigger more often" is great even if you just spin your wheels and lose, you still get like 5k points per game

Looked at some of your older vids to kinda get myself acclimated to this type of format and ironically hated link joker, but ended up loving Brandt gate with the prison (lock, but not really) mechanic. Dude keep up the good work. I never thought I'd get into another TCG this deep and I'm glad I did.

Also don’t forget satisfying certain conditions during the fight also gives you bonus VP for more points to open packs with! While you can’t always control hitting multiple triggers or seeing your OT, you do have some control over how much power you attack/guard for. Some tips: If you draw into your OT, make sure you use it to guard your G3 Vanguard at some point - there’s a VP bonus for guarding for 60k+. 13k Vanguard + 50k OT shield satisfies that in a single card. Do note that using a PG doesn’t count for this bonus because it’s not adding shield value. Make high powered columns when you’re attacking - there’s another bonus for attacking with 40k+ power (I think there’s also one for 60k+ and 100k+, but I’ve only ever seen the 100k+ when I hit my OT on a drive check); doesn’t matter if it’s a Vanguard or rear guard attack. Bonus power from triggers do count towards that, btw. If you have cards that have draw effects, try to use one of them on your Persona Ride turn. There’s a bonus for drawing 3+ cards in a single turn, including your start of turn draw. You get a draw for Persona Riding, so if you have a 3rd skill that will let you draw, you’ll get the bonus (keep in mind hitting a draw during your drive check will also count towards that; it’s just less consistent). Conserve cards in hand when you can - there’s a bonus for winning a match with 10+ cards in hand. Retire as many enemy rear guards as you can, whether it’s with an ability or by attacking into them, it doesn’t matter. There’s a bonus for retiring 5+ enemy units. From my personal experience rotating between Bavsargra, Purelight, and DOTE, Bavsargra’s a pretty good pick for consistent VP farming - I usually get 2k+ with her before any D-Skills. Plenty of draw power with Spear and effect draws alongside Shield and G1/G0 recycling to conserve hand (there’s a G1 that gains intercept if she’s has a Left Arm equipped, and gains 6k power if she has a Right Arm equipped in FesColle), dressboost means she automatically hits the 40k attack power threshold once you’ve got her double Armed with Trickmoon behind her, and her SB2 just retires enemy units for days. I’m still working on some other decks, but for now, Bavsargra’s my go to for story mode.
One thing to make note of. The game counts retired Guardians towards the 5+, so if they guard with a lot of cards against a couple attacks it will satisfy that condition.
Personally i recommend the nation pack, especially if youre into brandt and keter as they have the most comp decks within their own nations. I built seraph, gravidia and eva in 2 days with limited playing tim. Also the dont hold back skill is pretty good as it kind of gives you hard mode with double vp.
I know this video is a year old now, but I didn't see this tech in the comments. The best set to open for Crafting Points is actually the first Festival pack! Here's why EVERY card in the set is RRR in rarity, and you get an SP roughly 50% of the time. Once you open enough of the set, you get 700 or 900 CP for 1000 VP cost EVERY time (+200 for an SP, 300 CP replacing the 100 of a RRR). If you're willing to open enough to fill out all the playsets, this becomes the de facto best source of new cards, to the point where opening this and spending CP on single cards is still faster than opening sets you own no cards from yet. I hope this helps a few of you! (Also, CP costs aren't as simple as DifferentFight said for high rarities, but it's close enough. For example, a shiny SP costs 6300 for your first copy, but only 1800 for the remaining copies.) Thanks for all the amazing content, DifferentFight! You know...as much as the $70 price tag was high...it's not too bad honestly. Loved EX on the PS4 and Dear Days is very fun too. Not to mention a lot of decks that are hard to build in real life can be built easily (looking at you, Eva) Do I wish it was cheaper? Absolutely. At the same time it is honestly a good game.
I also wanted to drop a budget Stoicheia deck for those wanting to get into the nation, namely the Zorga deck without dumping too much CP if players are unsure if they want to play it or not. Do note however, this is by no means good in Ranked. I went against Gravidia 5 times in a row, and lost all matches, so it goes to show how weak it is in competitive. This is more for grinding CPU games but is cheap to put together. I've had a lot of free time these last few days so I already ground out about 1 copy of everything set 1-5. I ended up digging 20~30 packs into Festival 2022 and wow its a lot of points. I started farming it probably 100 packs in, and yeah once you have a playset of everything at base rarity it gives insane cp drops. I think I've been getting around 5k+ cp per 20 packs along with 3~5 SPs per 10 packs, as Im maxing out on SPs its getting even higher. So at least anecdotally seems like Festival 2022 is the way to go for pure CP grinding, but if you want multiple SPs of a specific set its probably just better to go in on that set.
I spent a lot pulling on set 05 because I'm a Tamayura player, and I'm left with 4 cards from that set. Whenever I need CP to craft a few missing cards, I just pull on set 05 cos I know I'm getting a lot of dupes. I've completed Fortia and DOTE today too.
As someone who is both brand new to this game (simply never heard of vanguard before, played YGO all my life.) and who is in a situation where playing the physical game with others isn't an option, this game has been an absolute amazing time aside from the cost. I know it's corny sounding, especially since we don't actually own the cards for a physical collection but this really does satisfy that thrill I get from cracking actual card packs. Not to mention it's been a great way to learn about the game and so far, I love it. Sure the trigger system is a bit RNG but honestly, it's deck building cost rng and because of the trigger limit rule, it's pretty even RNG for both sides, so I don't mind it.
I've found grinding FC2021 is the best set to grind. Everything is base RRR. It's a bit of a grind to spam it, but once you get the whole base and a bit of the full arts, you get so much craft so quickly. Like, able to get well over 100k craft easy
You also get 500 if your opponent reveals their OT either checking it guarding with it or discarding it to ride not sure about soul charge and soul blast though since the reward is worded "opponent drew over trigger"
And also dont forget that you can get vp from cpu fight too if you want to farm more vp, please pin this DF just in case if there someone they didnt know they can do this, just want to help😁

Since getting my ass beaten by Yuki in CPU mode, I decide to build a Gram Grace deck, which is surprisingly fun aggro. Definitely surprised at howspeedy the deck feels. Also I really thank DD for allowing me to play Vanguard at PC since I'm new to the Overdress meta. Also Hard mode CPU (especially the Blackout group grade 4 decks) is painful, thank god losing also give fair amount of points.
I've been thinking of something and please let me know if i'm on the wrong train of thought as i don't wanna live under a pretense or illusion lmao but... i feel like the future booster packs including chronojet stride set will be free, hear me out, it's because even the current sets are up for sale as DLC even though you can just pull the packs and get the cards either way, makes it feel like the dlc is more of an insta unlock thing than access gate. but might be that i am huffing too much copium lmao . would love to hear your thoughts on this.
I just want to mention that if you already own a Foil copy of a card, crafting more costs 1.5x the cost of the non foil. Crafting 1st copy of foil is 2.625x the normal price of crafting a foil
Ranked meta question: if the cards in the game are set, how is Ranked play going? Do we think that the meta is going to be one way and only the top tier decks will be playable, or is there a wide enough range of viable decks to play with builds and have competitive options?
In my opinion, the current meta is pretty varied and great with many top contenders. The current best decks are probably Dote, Eva, Tamayura, Nirvana, And Prison. Set 6 adds more to the mix. While set 7, has Youthberk as such a meta defining deck currently that that's what will probably be most commonly seen. And Chronojet has also been making huge waves irl, so look forward to that when it comes out
Is there anything resembling OG Misaki style OTT decks in the game's currently available cards? I've not played since OG Vanguard, but my first deck was an OTT before Bermuda Triangle released (so in other words, all our cards were from boosters and trades only..... no trial deck to get us started off). It was a Scarlet Witch Coco deck, we didn't have much to go on at the time and it was super budget orientated. I know Coco is crap compared to the batshit insane things people can pull off these days, but it's the kind of cards that's easiest for me to latch to.
I got 4 decks now by crafting cards, but i think it's enough and the rest of other archetypes will come slowly from opening packs, will stack up the CP for completing SP/DSR for my main deck. I think the shiny DSR costs like 63k 💀
For me reading is hard so I spent two whole days playing Dear Days thinking you had to pull the cards from a pack in order to buy them bc I didn’t look at the top right hand of the screen where it said “owned”/“View”

I’m new to vanguard and I’m confused with the auto ability mechanic are all auto ability’s mandatory cause I’ve noticed some cards say so and some don’t so I got confused.like are you forced to do it or is there a choice involved?
If there is a cost to pay then the effect is optional. So for example the card Sylvan Horned Beast, Panthero has 2 different auto skills one optional and one manadatory. The second skill is "Auto {RG}: When this unit attacks, If you have a vanguard with "Magnolia" in its card name ,this unit gets Power +5000 until end of that battle". Because there is no in the effect text it will automatically happen and is mandatory as there is no cost to be paid. So essentially the effect sees no reason to ever not activate. But its first skill is "Auto: When this unit is placed on RG, [SB1], choose a "Sylvan Horned Beast, Panthero" from your drop, call it to an open RG." The effect is optional because there is a . So in order to not force you to pay the cost the game allow you to decline to pay, as sometimes a cost might be unpayable or maybe you don't want to Soulblast or Counterblast. It would be unfair if you had to SB1 on play even if there was no copy in the Drop zone to call or if you had to CB1 for a power boost skill even when it would not hit. So to balance them are always optional. But some effects have a sort of two-fold effect where a portion of the effect is manadatory and the second is not. For example Sylvan Horned Beast, Lemurea, its Auto skill is "Auto {Front Row RG} : When your other rear-guard attacks, until end of turn, this unit gets Power +5000, [CB1], and it gets Power +5000." So this skill is partially mandatory and partially optional. So the portion of the effect before the alwasy goes off, meaning that if Lemurea is on a Front Row RG circle it will always gain Power +5000 for each of your other Rear-guards attacking. However if you would like you can also after each instance of gaining Power +5000 choose to pay the of CB1 and gain an additional Power +5000 making the total Power gained +10000. If you choose not to pay you do still receive the Power +5000 from the mandatory portion of the effect. So some effects are mixed together like this. Hope this helped clear things up even if its pretty long winded.

Hi. I'm building Bastion. I don't know the deck list for its current meta (back during set 5). Can anyone tell me what sets (other than set 1 which is obvious) I should open to build the best Bastion deck?
Bastion changed very little after set 1. Pull set 4 for Bastion Prime and the shield Dragon, and set 3 if you want Lagrele. Other than that, the only notable cards are the effect Front (set 2), Form Up O Chosen Knights (set 2), and Pride to Protect (set 3) which you can probably craft.
@@gabrield5077 I just got started on the game today, and want to add that since boosty dragon is limited to 1, that means you're really going to want Pride to Protect, which means you will want to skip Form Up (since you don't want to run too many orders).
Bought the game 3 days ago, got roughly 3 complete decks built so far with only 25 hours. Blue and red Zorga and G4 Nirvana, but being i'm so new i don't even know where to start with the other decks/starters yet. There's really not a whole lot of content out there for Dear Days it looks like. Looks like you do alot of the phone game but... not exactly my style.
This game has a very mean desire sensor. Whenever I want to build one deck, it gives me rare cards for another. I managed to get all 4 Seraph Purelight's I need for Prison while trying to get Nirvana.
Gramgrace is in the promo pack so it’s in the game, but it’s not a deck you can start with. Starting deck choices are the first 6 start decks (Nirvana, Bastion, Magnolia, Seraph Snow, Bruce, and Bavsargra) plus Kairi for Lyrical.
idk maybe im overthinking it but the regular sets have around 15 pages of cards. the nation ones only 4 or 5. thats roughly 1/3rd of the size. thats technically the same price in vp but one extra pack. you can see the one extra pack as a fee for faster deck base building. you can get most cards in those packs for quite a few decks. if you keep buying those to make a deck youll build the deck faster and get decent cp. ofc if you manage to get 4 copies of all those 15 pages in regular sets, youll have a very easy cp farm. i think it depends how far youre into it. when i was new i spammed only dragon empire to make bav. by the end i had plenty of cp to make the trickmoons for example. moved on to brandt gate, had most of the things for prison, orfist, gravidia and eva. lots of cp there to craft anything that was left. now im just spamming some more keter sanctuary and stoicheia for bastion and flagburg but once ive got those im set. ill then invest in set 1 or 4. once you almost complete those, its cp for very cheap and with the vp buff you can get to fight the ai, youre looking at 1.25k-4k vp per fight
The funny thing when I play Dear Days, I want to build Bastion first, but what I finished is PBO Also, my 3rd deck finished is Gram Grace and damn, I like the deck so much. I think I'll try to build it in tcg too! ALSO, MIKA IS JUST TOO DIFFICULT TOO BEAT!!
@@Riealomea I have, but it's easier cause I still get dmg trigger and I still have like 3-4 heal in deck before turn 4 But Mika, woohooy, no dmg trigger/dmg triggrr when the last attack hit, before turn at least 2 heal is out, she double crit etc 😢😢😢
@@sephiram1475 It's mostly because my gameplay depend of my cards hand and since his grade 3 must have 3 guard and no PG it's hard to counter attack.... basically to beat him you must defeat him before his persona ride otherwise it's gonna be really hard to stop his 5-7 attack
So I bit the bullet and bought the game for 70 dollars. While I still believe this game isn't worth that much, I've been having a great time playing it nonetheless.
You have the sets from Overdress and Structure Decks you can buy. And it's easy to get them. One fight alone is almost 5 boosters. And you get more cards as you defeat other people.

I've been thinking of something and please let me know if i'm on the wrong train of thought as i don't wanna live under a pretense or illusion lmao but... i feel like the future booster packs including chronojet stride set will be free, hear me out, it's because even the current sets are up for sale as DLC even though you can just pull the packs and get the cards either way, makes it feel like the dlc is more of an insta unlock thing than access gate. but might be that i am huffing too much copium lmao . would love to hear your thoughts on this.

if you already own a Foil copy of a card, crafting more costs 1.5x the cost of the non foil.
Crafting 1st copy of foil is 2.625x the normal price of crafting a foil
Is there a point in time when creating cards starts working? I try to create cards a lot but it just makes a wierd sound and nothing gets crafted

Ranked meta question: if the cards in the game are set, how is Ranked play going? Do we think that the meta is going to be one way and only the top tier decks will be playable, or is there a wide enough range of viable decks to play with builds and have competitive options?
In my opinion, the current meta is pretty varied and great with many top contenders. The current best decks are probably Dote, Eva, Tamayura, Nirvana, And Prison.
Set 6 adds more to the mix.
While set 7, has Youthberk as such a meta defining deck currently that that's what will probably be most commonly seen. And Chronojet has also been making huge waves irl, so look forward to that when it comes out
Is there anything resembling OG Misaki style OTT decks in the game's currently available cards?
I've not played since OG Vanguard, but my first deck was an OTT before Bermuda Triangle released (so in other words, all our cards were from boosters and trades only..... no trial deck to get us started off). It was a Scarlet Witch Coco deck, we didn't have much to go on at the time and it was super budget orientated. I know Coco is crap compared to the batshit insane things people can pull off these days, but it's the kind of cards that's easiest for me to latch to.
The HexaOrb deck has some Magus style of old vanguard (looking at top deck)
I got 4 decks now by crafting cards, but i think it's enough and the rest of other archetypes will come slowly from opening packs, will stack up the CP for completing SP/DSR for my main deck. I think the shiny DSR costs like 63k 💀

For me reading is hard so I spent two whole days playing Dear Days thinking you had to pull the cards from a pack in order to buy them bc I didn’t look at the top right hand of the screen where it said “owned”/“View”

Hey different fight do you know if the game will give us a deck Recipe of Yuki Saint Sword Knight Dragon deck?
I’m new to vanguard and I’m confused with the auto ability mechanic are all auto ability’s mandatory cause I’ve noticed some cards say so and some don’t so I got confused.like are you forced to do it or is there a choice involved?
If there is a cost to pay then the effect is optional. So for example the card Sylvan Horned Beast, Panthero has 2 different auto skills one optional and one manadatory.
The second skill is "Auto {RG}: When this unit attacks, If you have a vanguard with "Magnolia" in its card name ,this unit gets Power +5000 until end of that battle". Because there is no in the effect text it will automatically happen and is mandatory as there is no cost to be paid. So essentially the effect sees no reason to ever not activate.
But its first skill is "Auto: When this unit is placed on RG, [SB1], choose a "Sylvan Horned Beast, Panthero" from your drop, call it to an open RG." The effect is optional because there is a . So in order to not force you to pay the cost the game allow you to decline to pay, as sometimes a cost might be unpayable or maybe you don't want to Soulblast or Counterblast. It would be unfair if you had to SB1 on play even if there was no copy in the Drop zone to call or if you had to CB1 for a power boost skill even when it would not hit. So to balance them are always optional.
But some effects have a sort of two-fold effect where a portion of the effect is manadatory and the second is not. For example Sylvan Horned Beast, Lemurea, its Auto skill is "Auto {Front Row RG} : When your other rear-guard attacks, until end of turn, this unit gets Power +5000, [CB1], and it gets Power +5000." So this skill is partially mandatory and partially optional. So the portion of the effect before the alwasy goes off, meaning that if Lemurea is on a Front Row RG circle it will always gain Power +5000 for each of your other Rear-guards attacking. However if you would like you can also after each instance of gaining Power +5000 choose to pay the of CB1 and gain an additional Power +5000 making the total Power gained +10000. If you choose not to pay you do still receive the Power +5000 from the mandatory portion of the effect. So some effects are mixed together like this.

Hi. I'm building Bastion. I don't know the deck list for its current meta (back during set 5). Can anyone tell me what sets (other than set 1 which is obvious) I should open to build the best Bastion deck?
Bastion changed very little after set 1. Pull set 4 for Bastion Prime and the shield Dragon, and set 3 if you want Lagrele. Other than that, the only notable cards are the effect Front (set 2), Form Up O Chosen Knights (set 2), and Pride to Protect (set 3) which you can probably craft.

@@gabrield5077 I just got started on the game today, and want to add that since boosty dragon is limited to 1, that means you're really going to want Pride to Protect, which means you will want to skip Form Up (since you don't want to run too many orders).
I've been finding alot of success just crafting 4 of everything in a set then spamming packs of that set. 100 packs gives me on average 25k-30k cp
Bought the game 3 days ago, got roughly 3 complete decks built so far with only 25 hours. Blue and red Zorga and G4 Nirvana, but being i'm so new i don't even know where to start with the other decks/starters yet. There's really not a whole lot of content out there for Dear Days it looks like. Looks like you do alot of the phone game but... not exactly my style.
What about the chronojet deck will I have to pay for that?

This game has a very mean desire sensor. Whenever I want to build one deck, it gives me rare cards for another. I managed to get all 4 Seraph Purelight's I need for Prison while trying to get Nirvana.

Gramgrace is in the promo pack so it’s in the game, but it’s not a deck you can start with. Starting deck choices are the first 6 start decks (Nirvana, Bastion, Magnolia, Seraph Snow, Bruce, and Bavsargra) plus Kairi for Lyrical.
Took me a day to build overlord then 3 hrs for mlb and pbo then it just snowballed now I have alestiel deck as well hahahaha

Also when crafting a card you already have at least 1 copy of, the cp cost is less!

idk maybe im overthinking it but the regular sets have around 15 pages of cards.
the nation ones only 4 or 5. thats roughly 1/3rd of the size. thats technically the same price in vp but one extra pack. you can see the one extra pack as a fee for faster deck base building. you can get most cards in those packs for quite a few decks. if you keep buying those to make a deck youll build the deck faster and get decent cp.
ofc if you manage to get 4 copies of all those 15 pages in regular sets, youll have a very easy cp farm. i think it depends how far youre into it.
when i was new i spammed only dragon empire to make bav. by the end i had plenty of cp to make the trickmoons for example. moved on to brandt gate, had most of the things for prison, orfist, gravidia and eva. lots of cp there to craft anything that was left.
now im just spamming some more keter sanctuary and stoicheia for bastion and flagburg but once ive got those im set. ill then invest in set 1 or 4. once you almost complete those, its cp for very cheap and with the vp buff you can get to fight the ai, youre looking at 1.25k-4k vp per fight
The funny thing when I play Dear Days, I want to build Bastion first, but what I finished is PBO
Also, my 3rd deck finished is Gram Grace and damn, I like the deck so much. I think I'll try to build it in tcg too!

@@sephiram1475 It's mostly because my gameplay depend of my cards hand and since his grade 3 must have 3 guard and no PG it's hard to counter attack.... basically to beat him you must defeat him before his persona ride otherwise it's gonna be really hard to stop his 5-7 attack

You have the sets from Overdress and Structure Decks you can buy. And it's easy to get them. One fight alone is almost 5 boosters. And you get more cards as you defeat other people.
