    Hi Kris, thank you so much for the kind words, glad to see you enjoy the decklist! (The deck is actually 7 crits 4 draws, not 8 crits 3 draws haha)
    I'll give some comments about some parts of the fight, and try to explain some plays/optimizations, if anyone is interested:
    - For the mulligan, since you'll need 4+ Worlds most of the time to kill, keeping Worlds and Tectien in opening hand is very crucial. Persona Ride is obviously good, but getting this condition beforehand is more important. 2 Worlds in opening hand is generally the best.
    - 6:03 For the World of choice, it depends on the hand/opponent:
    If you are lacking Worlds, or missing pieces like Nuvorea or Combine Rusher, pick Hollowing Moonlit to dig into the deck. It's never a bad option.
    If you have most combo pieces and World, going Eclipsed Moonlight to put pressure is good.
    Overcoming an Eternity is rarely a good pick, you'll draw/drive check/search before the G3 turn anyway, you have a high chance of seeing them.
    - About damage deny, it's not a big deal if you have Cagula. Cagula ensures your turn still pack a punch, with columns being at about 25/30k on average
    - 7:29 This hand is very good for rushing. Calling Cagula behind VG, and giving 5k to Rusher instead means the opponent has to use 15k to guard instead of 5k if they want to stay at 1. And the vanguard still goes over a defensive. Calling the other Rusher here also helps putting more pressure, no need to be conservative at this point since you don't have Nuvorea in hand.
    - 10:39 "You don't want to over Soul-Charge". This is true, but in this case you actually want to SC. You are still 1 World for your Persona Ride, SC'ing 2 means you are digging 2 cards deeper for a World. If you SC it, very good, just Soul-Blast it with Cagula. (Can also help you finding Combine Rusher if you don't have it)
    - 13:31 Even if your turn is okay without CB, it's important to try to get enough CB (1 or 2) so you don't get denied your huge swing turn. Guarding here makes the damage deny play very easy for your opponent.
    - 21:40 There are a lot of instances where having a Token behind the VG is important, otherwise it's quite easy to guard. If during the first G3 turn you called behind VG instead of Combine Rusher, Orfist would've been a 3 or 4-cards guards or PG. Calling early Token behind RG is good, but they will most likely be crushed later (like with the Nuvorea you called during this turn). Here Orfist only consumed 2 cards from the opponent, if you had a boost behind it would probably get PG'd, and then the opponent has to deal with 2 50k columns with 1 less PG in hand.
    Hope this is helpful, feel free to ask anything!

    Orfist was the first CV deck I ever built, really glad to hear it got second in worlds! Orfist Regis is a very busy design but such a cool ability and play style.

    Hey love all the Dear Days content! I just got into Vanguard about 2 months ago and have been playing a ton of dear days. Would you mind covering Sorceress I know it's not a "Top" deck but it's one of my favorites and would like to see your take on it :)

    Orfist is definitely one of my top three decks from overdress. Love that its really getting some major recognition now, I just wish Zakusa was more of a major character in the anime so we could see more of it there

      @@tunnel77xx32coming from the futures future, I don’t think they dropped the ball harder with Zakusa’s character, bro gets hyped up to be this unstoppable fighter with the uniformers, and gets two full onscreen wins, one of them being against the loss Queen Haruka, and the other beating Yuyu to force a plot point of “wait, am I as bad as the uniformers?!?!?!”
      Edit: oh and forgot to mention how he just leaves the uniformers at the end after they lose. like I thought they were trying to show us the uniformers weren’t inherently bad with what they were trying to achieve, but then they disband and Zakusa just abandons the shirogane identity and goes back to normal like nothing ever happened. Season 3 as a whole was just such a disappointment

    Interesting to see this decklist dropping Thumbelina, I honestly didnt like the card much either but most decklists kept running it. Also glad to see Hexaorb finally being decent, do you think you could do a deck profile? Feels like theres so many options from the rideline choice to the G2s/G1s since you cant fit everything anymore.

  • @mana4022
    @mana4022 Рік тому +1

    I honestly feel like it's just better to do 4 attacks on turn 3 with Nuvorea lately, even with 2 G3 orders. Just to make sure a trigger doesn't shut down your push, your opponent would be at 3-4 damage by the end of it, then your persona ride turn is so devastating that it kills for me most of the time

    • @romaincardfight
      @romaincardfight Рік тому +2

      Yup! This is exactly what I did during Worlds, I never made 5 attacks during the first turn. Not getting shut down by defensive trigger is one reason, but the other one is more important: Keeping the board. Crushing the other front row RG means you have to spend more resources to build the board next turn. (And because 5k Intercept is very valuable for this deck, crazy thing to say)

    Fun fact, the old Orfist is the only one that can beat the living crap out of Kanji (Farvneel) in the hard mode of CPU fight (other than Seraph Purelight). This shows how good Orfist is

    The search shuffle is actually why switched my hexaorb over to the blaster blade ride line. You really needed to back to back persona ride, and only by searching can you promise it on turn 4. So the ride line skill always gets wasted in the optimal play line. Plus by using Maron into blaster you can call wingal from soul for hexaorb booster, which means that she can power boost her own attacks without committing another card from hand. She only really needs a body there, it being 6k has never hurt.

    • @dawnbreaker1775
      @dawnbreaker1775 Рік тому

      I saw another Hexaorb player at locals play the blaster line but I’m partial to pentagleam’s free top 3 check. It’s probably not a popular take but I prioritize checking triggers over persona ride so I run maron over totris in my list so that Hexaorb can make a 30k shield a 1 to pass since in most cases I’m swinging Hexaorb first.
