How to know if a master is real or not? Simple : Look at his footwork and stances. Every time he takes a leap or a jump, move around, stand on one leg, twist and turn ... itz all very stable. No wobbling, no shaking but all stable. It takes years to achieve that and l haven't even talk about his hands controlling the sword yet❗
Very much ... very very much impressed and inspired by this form!!! Please share with us more about this Great Master and the form he plays uniting Chinese and Japanese
Katana and "Japanese" type designer of long two handed curve sword, comes from ZHANMADAO! Chinese, Han dynasty. Ming & Qing dynastys reproduced design of Zhanmadao.
Considering how he spins the sword around, I'd guess maybe 2 pounds or so; say a kilogram. A real one from old times; probably twice that or a little more. Modern swords are made for performance, so they're a lot lighter than the ones intended to go steel on steel on the battlefield.
Obviously this is a training sword made of wood, so way more light than a steel sword. I'm a XIII century reenactor and I practice in historical fencing. We use steel swords even for training and the medium weight is between 1.3 and 2 kilos. Well yes it's a different type of sword I know, but chinese and japanese swords were forged in thousands of layers, making them extremely flexible and strong despite being very thin. I think that a steel miao dao could weight around 1-1.2 kilos, not more.
The greatest fear is de fear of death. But death is nothing to us because when we are here, Death is not here; And when death is here, We are not here. Was that life ? I want to say to death. Well then!
Best miaodao I have seen.
You just proven my point. That the Miao Dao is graceful and relaxing to use. 👍
And fun to play with.
@@satnamo , OH YEAH !! 😁

Looks like the difference between the Miao Dao and Ōdachi form is the former concentrates on stabbing and the latter slashing.
Excelente controle de arma. Muito bom!
What are the measurements of the miao dao?

Itz call Miao Dao or Miao Sword. Used in ancient China by foot soldiers to cut charging calvary horses' legs.

Excuse me, what material was used for this sword, tell me please ?
That was outstanding!
The sheath goes on back or on the waist?
That's the kind of sword that goes on your shoulder or the bagage train, I think. I'm not sure soldiers had a sheath for it.
That is so good.
What is good ?
An increase in power-
Power itself.
Self mastery is das ultimate form of power.

Perfection comes from repetition because practice makes perfect.
Love it.
Love is neither wise nor beautiful because love is das passion for wisdom and beauty.
omg since For Honor is adding the Chinese faction in the game I want this as the 5th hero
Looks like you will be getting your wish
Me too
Wow!
What would the weight of an actual sword like this have been? Facing an opponent with such a long sword must have been frightening.

fake miao dao techniques, you would cut off your legs and head with these moves with a real Miao Dao.
I don't see why, no different from the movements found in chinese broadsword
that's silly... did he hit himself with the blade? If not, how would he cut off his legs and head? Very odd summary, indeed.
