The phantom eyes through the bunker ceiling is one of the most terrifying things I've seen.
That glitch fits really well with the whole lore of phantoms being your own hallucinations, and it is mildly terrifying.

Gem... just a minor note. Glow berries only grow when a new piece of vine appears unless you use bonemeal on an empty vine, so if you want more then you need to break the vines after picking. 😉

Hmm, I don’t remember that to be true but they could have changed something with the addition of clipped vines to keep them from growing.

Gem is the best! I love how she can be so relaxing and also incorporate humor into her videos as well!
A good way to farm phantoms is to use the trees as a defense to hide under the branches and then swing at them as they come down at you. If you have enough trees together, they sometimes get stuck in the branches/leaves making it easier to swing at them.
since she has enough wood even for decoration a boat is better, guarantees stuck instead of sometimes
I love Gem's skyblock series! I still rewatch the old ones sometimes. I was just missing her doing skyblock very recently, so this is perfect timing! I also like hearing Gem chat with us a little more as she does on solo plays compared to smps

A great thing I learned was to put a slab over the berry bushes. It keeps you from being hurt by the bush. It also works for lava, fire, and water, which is great if you get bees. I don't know if they fixed them being around water, but I've lost a few to water.
I love how she keeps standing on the chest right next to the lava.she really is the biggest threat to her survival right now 😂

Hey Gem! Just wanted to say that I love all of your skyblock series and the first one of your videos that I watched was your skyblock 100 days video. A while ago I started a minecraft skyblock world (which I haven't done much on) on this same map but I've been very busy up until a few days ago so I haven't been playing on it. This new series has encouraged me to get back onto that world and start playing it again. Some of the things you have done on this world have also given me inspiration; I love the idea of a little bunker and will definitely be playing along with you and making one in my world!

Oh yes, I made a similar room downstairs to get rid of the phantoms, except I put the cobblestone generator downstairs so I'll have something to do at night. You can even use the same water block for a cobblestone generator downstairs and a farm upstairs, until you get a second water block!
I love your other skyblock videos, so this will hopefully be lots of fun, too!

Quick idea for the prickly berry bush problem: you can place trap doors on top to prevent yourself from walking into them without preventing their growth or their harvesting.

Right at the beginning - it's odd, I get in the mood to Skyblock about once a year as well. I don't know what it is. I love Dr. Trog's version of the map/game!!! He does a great job keeping the changes to loot tables to a minimum and giving the player limited materials but also enough to make virtually everything in the game (without having to rely entirely on traders to get items).

If I may suggest...
...lower-half slabs could be placed above both the lava & the sweet berries.
This will still be un-spawn-able, & will protect you from accidentally touching them while you harvest supplies.
...now that you have a composter, you can feed it seeds, sugarcane, etc.
Once you get iron, then a pair of shears will allow you to feed it with leaves too.
...I believe that bee nest spawning requires the flower to have one block of air between itself and the sapling, and even then the odds of success are about 1-in-20. I've seen white Birch saplings get the best results, but only a tiny bit better than other woods.
A 19-by-15 area would be able to hold 20 saplings in a 4-by-5 formation, with room for a flower between any pair of saplings.
As for me, I'd use a 21-by-21 area, which would allow me a 5-by-5 formation of saplings, and room for a flower on all 4 sides of each sapling.
Obviously, this is currently too elaborate, & needs to wait for later, when you're richer in resources, but if you're serious about getting bees, it might be worth considering.
