i was going to say the same. 1st gear is long and its perfect since it it didnt wheel spin. the rest are short gear which keep in the powerband. seem like a modify gear ratio. b16 first gear is not this long.

Love those close ratio shifts; easily the best car mod I've done was changing the stock 2.73 rear gears to 3.73s in a base 2012 Mustang V6 w/ the 6-Spd Manual. It was quick enough after the new gears that I stopped caring about it not being a V8 and, even with low 300s HP, you can barely have fun on the street without risking losing your license. Freeway offramps seemed like the safest option to avoid cops watching radar from being able to get to me, and I have no idea how some guys haven't lost their licenses yet without spotters ahead.
One night I hit 120-130 on an on-ramp instead, and coasted down to like 5 over. While gradually slowing down I got lit up by a cop ahead, and I was shitting bricks not knowing if he clocked me at 130 or 70 in a 60 zone. I got lucky AF, he didn't clock me until I decelerated to like 10 over the limit, was friendly and let me go when I told him I was just out for a late-night cruise. So yeah, nice car and build dude but just a friendly reminder for everyone that a lot of speed/racing offenses are insanely severe.
Edit: Those shifts are SO close dude; in retrospect would you maybe want them slightly wider to minimize shift downtime or is that engine so peaky that it really needs 8k? Regardless, even if it IS very slightly slower, it's still racecar as hell.

Subscribed. I have had many civics and currently have an ith gen si. Everyone wants to know the gear set up youre running kn this car? As we all know despite the issues with the k20 trans the gearing is damn near perfect(not counting 6th of course)
Damn that shit is rowdy fucking love it . yo when u shifted to 5th that shit looked like it still had pull cuz it threw u in ur seat at 20-24 seconds i was like i need this exact setup i have a b20v in the works with gsr head flat face valves and BC stage 2 head package with rs machine
type R pistons ACL race bearings and all ARP hardware but i know my shit not gonna pull like this beast but ima ran it like this for a couple years then build mines like yours good work brotha

@@nepzski I know this, lol! I had a built and boosted b18b1 in my old Integra. Had a stage 1 GSR trans built by manualgearboxllc too. I’d still would have loved to run that engine N/a, to see what it could do. But when it was built, It was setup for boost. Build, break in tune, and dyno tune, were all done by Richtuned. Sold it to go H2b.

@@TheBb6prelude It will still make good power, you wont be disappointed if you pair it up with a 4.7 type r trans and get a proper tune. I use to have a b18c with 11.7 comp and skunk 2 tuner 1 cams, made 203whp and I had a blast with it! You should make over 220 at least depending on you're cam setup

what head did you use, b16 or GSR? Just picked up a VERY LOW mile rd1 crv 5spd awd, and planning to VTEC swap..was going to just go stock(head/block), but this makes me want to build it..
