I live in Spalding and am looking at the flow of the Welland from source to the Wash. Thank you for this educational video. I particularly look forward to walking the stretch from Spalding toward the Wash. Thank you again.
Thanks for the show. I was born in Holbeach and know the river well but have been away for many years in Australia. I always go back to Spalding when in UK. Those fish were more likely to be big chub by the way.
Wonderful video once again. We get so caught up in our daily lives, we can forget what a beautiful part of the country we live in. Thank you for the reminder!
You should make a similar video about the river Dove mate. I used to spend many hours fishing the Dove on Burton Mutual water. I've not been in the area for 25 years so it'd be a real nostalgia trip that's for sure 👍
Fantastic film! just one thing at the start it seems to be a bit mixed up, it says that the river flows through Rockingham and Gretton then to Market Harbourgh. But in fact it comes from Market Harbourgh towards Stamford and passes through Rockingham then Gretton. Nevertheless a great and interesting film.
Hi Steve - If you had gone to Frampton Marsh nature reserve you could have literally stood at the mouth of the Welland where it enters the sea, right next to the witham!
If you enjoyed my film, please hit the like then subscribe. This keeps me encouraged to make more films, thank you
What a fantastic video. Professionally done and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you.

Nice to see, a lot of changes since I used to fish the river all along it's length in the 1960's/1970's.
looking forward to watching this. thank you
I'm from Market Deeping, Used to fish in the Welland as a kid. Great for walks in the summer.

If you're an angler, there's some huge Roach,Chubb and the odd Trout in the stretch between Stamford and Market Deeping.
Saw a few big ones on my journey
Loads of trout between eyebrook and Harringworth
I used to catch some nice Roach from the river at Wakerley/Barrowden and also Collyweston, that was in the late 1960's
