Hello Mr.P. China used to require 50/50 Chinese partnerships if operating a Chinese factory. However, now they allow WFOE's are allowed & regulations are being relaxed. (Wholly Foreign Owened Enterprises). IE: Tesla's Shanghai Giga factory set off this change in policy. December '21 policy became official. .
This guy said he spoke to sales rep 2 weeks ago and sales were exploding. Real numbers released and they were near lows.

Partnerships doesn’t mean extra money for nio, maybe GM gets the better part of the deal.
The Nio App should easily know if the user does NOT OWN a Nio. It should then “advertise” BATTERY SWAP to these people as they open the Nio App to use the Nio chargers.
If it does this, then having these “partners” is beneficial, not only for charging revenues, but also for free advertising.

The only partnership I want to see is nio renting out batteries and battery swapping for other manufacturers. Obviously any manufacturer can make an ev. The batteries and the battery swap infrastructure is where the long term money is.
They should have just focused on the quality of their cars and battery swap. There's no point in getting the phone, if you can just get an app on another phone.
This wont move the needle. They are merely using their charging stations... not even swap stations.

I don’t know how these kinds of deals help NIO sale. I bought my Tesla was due to Tesla’s huge supercharge network in US, while other manufacturers don’t have. Now NIO gives all the edge to other Chinese manufacturers like BYD, who pays no effort on building its own charger network and soly 0:41 relies on national and other manufacturers’ charging networks. No wonder why NIO gets huge debts and shrinking sale
