Its hopeless, just read an interview with representatives of the German Arms Industry, there are as yet no orders from the government, no plans, no commitments, nothing. 2023 Military Spendings are even sinking to 1.6%. Zeitenwende is already dead, who would have expected that.
The best part of this deal is South Korea's willingness to transfer technology to get into the defense sector arms trade. Poland will be manufacturing their own versions of these in country.
It is mutual synergy. ROK needed additional capacity to produce to meet outstanding and anticipated future orders of the K2 and K9, and to a trustworthy partner to co-develop next generation of military systems. Poland is perfect.
I wouldn't be surprised if they opened their factories in Poland, thanks to which they will be able to deliver their products even faster :) They will even open a kimchi factory here... so cooperation between our countries really promises to be wonderful. ;)

Smaller European nations will definitely look into more South Korean weapons. As for tanks, France & Germany are working on a new generation tank. The Brits will only use what they make. Same with the Italians. Turkey wants to be a big player in weapons exports. Norway has been testing the K-2 for quite awhile now. Finland has a substantial number of K-9 SPGs. South Korean/Polish deal opens up South Korean weapons industry a way into European military procurement bidding. Which is still heavily dominated by European & US weapons companies. Like Rhinemetal, BAE Bofors, SAAB, Raytheon, Lockheed, General Dynamics, Nexter Systems, Thales, ThyssenKrupp, etc.

There is a saying that if you hate war, prepare for war. Korean weapons are compatible with those of the U.S. Army, have excellent price/performance ratio, and are good in terms of after-sales service. It is a wise choice for Poland to cooperate with Korea. I hope it will help keep peace in Poland.

KAI and the Czech Air Force are negotiating the FA-50 B20. And soon a list of the Czech Ministry of Defense for the K-2, K-9 and K-239 will be compiled.

The best part of this deal is South Korea's willingness to transfer technology to get into the defense sector arms trade. Poland will be manufacturing their own versions of these in country.
It is mutual synergy. ROK needed additional capacity to produce to meet outstanding and anticipated future orders of the K2 and K9, and to a trustworthy partner to co-develop next generation of military systems. Poland is perfect.

@@CórkaMokoszy the contract includes license-manufacturing of K2 tanks in Poland. South Korea just does not deliver on time. We deliver on time, and give you the means to maintain and build the fines products on site as well, so as to make sure our Polish customers are satisfied. Thank you.

Smaller European nations will definitely look into more South Korean weapons. As for tanks, France & Germany are working on a new generation tank. The Brits will only use what they make. Same with the Italians. Turkey wants to be a big player in weapons exports. Norway has been testing the K-2 for quite awhile now. Finland has a substantial number of K-9 SPGs. South Korean/Polish deal opens up South Korean weapons industry a way into European military procurement bidding. Which is still heavily dominated by European & US weapons companies. Like Rhinemetal, BAE Bofors, SAAB, Raytheon, Lockheed, General Dynamics, Nexter Systems, Thales, ThyssenKrupp, etc.
Korean defense companies will produce all weapons on a large scale at factories in Australia, Norway, Egypt and Poland.
Those howitzers look impressive.
