Although Tailscale is built on WireGuard there is one major difference , it uses server relays meaning it travels via their servers and like everything data that goes through a 3 rd party server is susceptible to privacy or lack of it (trust Tailscale that keeps its end of the bargain ) it is like Synology quickconnect which some times uses their server relays in case of slow connections specially when you are using it overseas. Another con of using Tailscale which might be the only be applicable to me is it is noticeably slower than WireGuard
