Enjoyed this morning's selection. Pretty upbeat song, for a song about losing a love, although not to another woman by his vices. Co-written by Emmylou and Rodney Crowell it was released on her 'Elite Hotel' album. Thanks for the reaction

I had forgotten this song. Haven't heard it in a long time. "Beneath Still Waters" is still my favorite Emmylou Harris song. I have yet to hear anyone react to it on UA-cam.

Going to have to listen to this independently - went too fast for me to catch all the lyrics. Love Emmylou, so I had to comment! Wow, I can't imagine two-stepping or line dancing to this one - may a few decades ago I'd be up for it! Thanks Don!
