The speaker boxes should be behind the crowd facing back to the runway as I have had great pictures spoilt by those boxes stuck up in the air. They are bloody annoying.
God I love those classic hornet flight displays, had one over here in the west a few years back at Pearce open day, went on for so long people were heading back to their cars to head home. Why land with spare fuel in the tanks I guess.
If you do a student trial flight, apply for an aviation reference number and get a student license (free), you are technically a pilot and can go on the trade days.
Avalon needs to do something about those speakers. They also need more food stalls. The food lines were long and choice was minimal. Bring in some older aircraft like a Phantom or Mirage or Harrier. Some European fighters like the Typhoon or Rafale. And of course the Russian Migs and Sukhios. Let’s watch the Australian national aerobatic champion do the routine that won gold. Get the Super Hornet to do a canon run firing blanks! Now THAT would sound awesome. I have many more ideas but I digress. Do any one of these and we will come back.
When you see the Hercules stunting around like that, landing and taking off in those short distances and realise how much it can carry you know why it's been in constant demand since the 1950s. The only thing that can replace a Herc is another Herc. It'a bit like the "A10" Thunderbolt replacement.very hard
Karl P well they could have given it a wash. Black streaks running down the sides is an no no. My Col would have kicked a$$ if he saw a bird look like that.
Thanks Mark. We will be there tomorrow In the meantime I have been flying at Torquay ... ua-cam.com/video/aq0xYETum8I/v-deo.html Keep up the great work I am a retired video producer Regards Noel

@@reckz420 the parking is huge and pretty well organized but if you don't get there early you walk miles through heat and dust to get to the entrance , movement of cars can also be very slow once you leave the freeway and turn into the single lane road that leads you into the car park area. getting out seems quick , getting in, not always .
@@louislungbubble organizers should arrange shuttle buses running back & forth b/w airport and the parking area specially given the crazy heat wave currently settling in.

Are you going to see the B52 that did not get to Wing Over Wairarapa in NZ sat 23
There is a B-52 scheduled for both Static and Aerial display for the Avalon Airshow, hopefully it will be present
It cost the us a thousand dollars a minute to fly the old girls. But if they made a promise, that should have should have shown up.
So exciting
See you Friday Avalon Air Show

4:15 What is that??? I though it could be an su-25, but nope, can some answer?
It's called a dragonfly. An American close air support aircraft. I can't remember it's full designation. Apologies
@Andrew Fry Thank you very much. Never knew that plane existed.
Where are the F35A JSF?
Only way to replace a Herc is another Herc. No arguments.
No F35's or drones such as the MQ-9 Reaper flying on the Media Day?
Bodhi Sattva the F-35’s didn’t arrive until Monday due to operational requirements. Reaper was on static display only.
In Adelaide

St. Devil I think they do run shuttles. Catching a train was easy. They have shuttles from the station.
