💀 💕 / 4⃣ Yui and Moa were both 14 at Budokan. BABYMETAL were the group with the youngest average age to ever play there. Official credits for this song: Lyrics: BLACK BABYMETAL (Yui and Moa) / Music: BLACK BABYMETAL / Arr.: tatsuo, KxBxMETAL Yui and Moa made up this song during the Singapore 2013 tour, and repeated it over and over again to the point that staff complained. : ) To pass the time while they were on their tour bus, Su suggested the theme of "4" as a challenge to Yui and Moa after they successfully made up songs on the themes of "banana" and "wood". Koba decided to have it professionally arranged so Yui and Moa could perform it in concert. The song is about the number four. In Japanese, 4 is "shi" which sounds like the word for death and it is often considered unlucky. 4 can also be "yon". This song talks about positive things that sound like the words for 4. Examples include Bitamin no shi ("4" is for "vitamin C") and Oishii no shi. ("4" is for "delicious".) The last time this was performed was at the two 'Legend S' concerts, Su's 20th birthday shows in Hiroshima. Yui was supposed to be there, but it was announced at the last minute that she would be unable to perform. Moa performed the song as a solo, but the Japanese crowd helped with Yui's lines in the song.
Excellent reaction and yes they were uber cute (they were 14 here) and this song is pure fun. '4 No Uta' or 'Song 4' is all about the number 4 which is considered unlucky in Japan a bit like we have 13 here. This is because 4 is shi in Japanese and shi also means death. They have an alternative to shi which is yon and that was what they were singing throughout - "Yon Yon" - and getting the crowd to call back. Yui and Moa have full writing credits for this song (lyrics and music - not the arrangement) - they wrote it on the tour bus in Singapore when they were 12. Legend has it Su challenged them to write a song about the number 4, so they wrote this - then sent the staff members mad running round singing it so much they complained. Their producer Koba chose to get the arrangement written up and make it a 'Black BABYMETAL' (Yui and Moa without Su) song for the album. The main gist is that 4 (shi) isn't an unlucky number and lots of words have 'shi' in them ... and they list a lot in the song saying they don't mean death, so shi (4) shouldn't either. There are a lot of figure 4s in the choreo too - they form them with standing on one leg with the other crossed behind, with their arms, with holding up four fingers and so on. Even the finger in front of their mouths like they are saying shhh ... the Japanese version of shhh is also shi.
What Rick Wagner said. Plus, another enthusiastic and appreciative reaction to the girls' mad talents. The duets of Moa and Yui are known as Black Babymetal and there are four of them, allexcellent for their mix of cute and Metal. Their live at the Forum dvd is out on the 29th May!
With the way they get the audience involved this seems like it was such a great live song. Their energy is definitely infectious. You can tell how much they love to perform. Nice pick K!
I will move mountains and swim oceans to see their next concert in Los Angeles. My Big goal is to see them in Japan. I want to experience them with that crowd.
Baby metal always make we proud are you?? Haha..they are so cute and so talented.love your reaction..please give us another react from baby metal song..its call night night burn...that's is interesting song
Nice reaction. I would love to see this live as well, but, unfortunately it's never going to happen again. Even if you do get to see them live at some point don't expect to see many of their older songs. Their latest tour has been concentrating on material from their latest album, which is the whole point of the tour obviously. The setlist from the European leg of their world tour consisted of 5 songs from their first 2 albums and seven from Metal Galaxy. It's disappointing to see so few of their earlier songs, especially when they have time to play more songs as the concert lasts for barely an hour. Still, as you say, great energy.
That is correct. Apparently thy also wrote a song about bananas and something else... wood maybe?? I really wanted to hear the banana song but that does not look possible :(

That's what I was wondering, 2012 or 2013 in Singapore, you mention 2013. I'll assume that was correct :-)

Bro you always spitting facts lol
Great info man appreciate it ❤️
Nice reaction, I had the opportunity to see them too, hate myself also. Stay metal and stay Babymetal.
I wonder how so few of the people in the crowd can have died from cuteness overload during that call & response part.
Nice video, bro. You ought to see Moa singing Headbanger in 2019 for her 20th birthday. That version is amazing!
I went to the Forum show, it was awesome. Its going to be released on DVD on May 5th
Babymetal melts the dark death heart of the hardest rockers :-)

Our little metal cheerleaders hard at work!
My favorite BBM! YUI and MOA seem like twins. Of course Avengers performance is so good! However No one takes the place of YUI.

Yes, that's right.
This one has music and lyrics written by Black BABYMETAL (Yui and Moa). Arrangement by tatsuo, KxBxMETAL.
That is correct. Apparently thy also wrote a song about bananas and something else... wood maybe?? I really wanted to hear the banana song but that does not look possible :(
Also, I never really gave it any thought, but Budokan was the first time it was performed.
