Don't plug the Trinilite blocks in live, 8kv anode voltage it bites, got a load of JTU-35A modules at home on display, set the rear address to 98 or 99 and its in test mode, proper CRT based pre LED Videowall, work with Jumbotrin and now LED kit from. Barco, Absen, Aoto, ROE, Yestech, InfiLED, GLUX etc.
8 KV second anode? Really? I wouldn't have expected it to be anywhere nearly that high; it only needs to go an inch and a half. A buddy of mine used to work the Tampa Stadium one in 1990 or so. He brought me a Trinilite pixel, but I don't have it anymore.
@@baylinkdashyt i would think that the voltage is higher since it needs to be so bright to be viewable in sunny daylight. but yes, i think 8kv is still quite high
The camera on the wall at 1:00 is a Sony DXC-3000.
I was invited to a tour of the place when they first opened up the two production units.
a magical place indeed!
Awesome videos! Love this stuff, hope theres more 73
Hey, are you still making these videos? They're great, I'm sure there's a market for them.
sadly not
@@wlj That's too bad. They are excellent.
@@deezynar yea
2024?
@TheTarrMan
I'm not sure what he technology is in 2011 large displays, high-brightness leds?

Very cool, someone recently put up a TV type billboard near wear I live, that must work similar to this too.
No this used tiny CRT tubes. Nowadays it would be LED modules
U.S. needed and didn't have David Stringer. Now I can catch up!
I wonder what the flyback looks like
Since each of the flood fill Trinilite CRT pixels is about an inch across, I think the second-anode voltage is something like 300 volts.
There is a teardown here on UA-cam of a Jumbotron unit
One thing I always was fascinated for😌
Nice Sony PlayStation
Really interesting....
TIL Pixel Is short of picture element
David Stringer taught me eveythihg.
0:46 Too bad Atlanta ended up winning it.
