I have one of these exact coins its the 1982 D small copper weight being 3.11 grams
These comments are hilarious! Everyone thinks they're getting rich but don't realize how rare these actually are.
It's rare for the bronze or copper planchette used to make it. I have quite a few 82 penny that have a odd color and a 2000 penny double die with a grease strike error on the obverse side liberty is missing the I and b and has a very obvious defect long grease strike and the shield one cent stamp is clearly double die
It’s funny you think people THINK they’re getting RICH . They know it says it SOLD for 8000 meaning they may also have that coin thst may have value in that range or even if it only worth $500. , that still great for something worth one cent . It’s you looking at it that way , not those who know and collect .
@@housahaulicrecordstv4310 but in reality the penny 99% of people find is worth maybe $5
It ain't too funny you're not too rare I have about 12 of them as a matter of fact 7 of them soap opera 3.1 to 3.2 grams I also have large date and small date so no they're not
@@tracyshepherd7953 then why are you here commenting about it? Bcus you don't
I think I found one but I don’t have a scale so I don’t know 😭
Take to a coin shop in town where you live. It should weigh 3.1 and 1982 Small date. The weight should tell you what you have.
Thank you I am upwards at 3040 plus coins well pennies from the 60s 70s and 80s that weighs anywhere from 3. 1 to 3.2 g
Thank you
3.1 to 3.2 gram I have a few of those a cellophane from a cigarette pack and then shove it full of pennies I probably have one and a half or so maybe two full of pennies like at that no way right through not 2.5 or anywhere from 3.1 to 3.2 g
I met all the requirements for the proper one. It's in such good condition it's possibly the best find I've ever gotten. But , of course can never find a buyer.
I found one i need to weigh it its been in circulation but not in to bad of shape
I have three 1982-D 2 of them meets 2 of the criteria, 3.15 grams, looks like the 2 in 1982 meets small date but cant be sure about the 8..i dont know if i should get it checked.
I have about 16 of those I'm just confused on which ones are valuable and which ones are not if you can let me know that would be
The 1982 D "Small Date" Copper or Bronze Lincoln Cents are the most valuable Lincoln Cents. These copper cents weight iwill be at least 3.1 grams when wieghed on a coin or jewelry weighing scale.
There are also 1982 Lincoln Cents without a mint mark that are Copper or Bronze as well.
The transitional 1982 Zinc Lincoln Cents weight is at or around 2 5 grams ( these cents are Copper plated over Zinc )
Check on UA-cam for "Small Date" and "Large Date 1982 Lincoln Cent variations.
Hope this helps you out.🌻🤗🌷
I have one that weighs 2.9
@@bobdublin825 ..., sometimes the coin wieghing scales can be off a little so weigh your coin..., then remove your coin turn your scale off and then back on and re-wiegh your coin once more just to see if there is a difference after re-wieghing your coin.
the 2s are different shape
Thanks
I have two of those
I'm aware that 1982 was a transitional year with the planchets used. I thought it was either a copper planchet or a zinc planchet.
Here. you mention a bronze planchet. Would you please clarify if all three types were used or only copper and zinc. Anyone can answer. Thank you all.
first I’ve heard of it too
I think this video was a bit confusing
My understanding is the same. There is copper and zinc. I think when he says bronze he means copper perhaps?
@eboone this is a very confusing video. I'm not sure what to look for. I have a few 1982 D penny's that are 3.1 g. How much should the valuable weigh?
He’s an idiot there were no bronze planchets
Where can you sell that kind of penny
Pcgs
Heritage auctions or eBay, depends on the error
So large date D weighing what? I have one that weighs 2.5 and one that is small date at 2.5. Videos on these coins are becoming confusing
I have one of those pennies and a 1964 and 1983d
Mine is 2.5 d small date seriously I freaking love u thanks🎉
I have 2,,1982 D that weight 2.5 grams. I got 1 with no mint marks weight 2.5 ,made in Philadelphia
I know the copper weighs and with the zinc waves what does the bronze penny weigh
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me figure out if I have what I think I may have? I had several 1982 d pennies that weighed 3.2 but I believed all were large date, of course. I found a few more while doing some late spring cleaning today and one just kept bothering me so I got out my others and went over them with my microscope magnifier. This new one is also a D mint mark on a bronze planchet. It is a double die, that I am positive about. It is very obvious on the date, probably without a magnifier to someone more experienced at this than I am. Does explain why it kept catching my eye, though. I knew something was off even though I am far from an expert. I have been watching and learning, using your videos and a few others to identify what I have found in the collection left to me by my grandmother.
I only earned of the 1982 penny recently and had a few around the house. Decided they were all large dates. Ever since then, I swear 1982 pennies have been the only pennies that I see! have had up to 8 at any given time. I stored some away until I could be sure I was correct on the dates. Then I found this one and pulled several out tonight to compare. Like i said, I am positive I have a decent condition 1982 d bronze double die penny but I am around 75% sure it is a small date with the double die. If you could take a look I would really appreciate it or point me in some sort of the right direction to confirm what this penny is ?
i have an "82D" large date that ways 3.11 g, is it worth anything?
I have an 82 D and one no mark as well, in small print.
Has to weigh 3.1 g but the zinc pennies are going for good money in high grade.
I have this penny, 1982 branze. 3.1 grams, d mint mark. Pocket change find.
those are like $80k
If it is 80 k then how do I sell the all mine 6 to be exact pennies that were in a time capsule from when I was in the 3rd grade along with numerous flowing liberty and mercury dimes a few 2 dollar bills, Indian head nickles , pennies from 1914 to 1982
is the 1982 weighing 3.12 with the small date from the philadelphia mint valuable?
No

When grading with pcgs, what would be the service level of a coin like this?
I can imagine at place they make coins one could create mistakes & then go sell them. I don’t know though
What if it has no mint mark and it's a small date and also weighs 3.1 grams?
It's worth a couple of bucks at best.
I found one 1982 small date & orange 3.1
Waqaruddin I have a one coine1982

Bronze? Or zinc?
I have one but it doesn't have the D. Is it still worth anything
I have that penny 1982 actually ,I have 4 with different types of marks.,but the small date is not in the best shape does 😕 t have to be in mint shape?it has the straight line on the 2 weight 3.1 .I spent a lot of time checking it I have a Jewelers eye lens that they use for diamonds and such,a magnifying glass a scale.what grade does it have to be in? It has doubling on a couple numbers
I want to go heads with the mint about San Francisco mint making 3 million in 82 but didn't use a mint mark. So philly and San Fran didn't use a mint mark so any errors goes against which one..
I’m OK so how do you know if it’s real if you have it?
This video is quite confusing if you look at the comments. I think it would be a good idea to make another video and go into greater detail. When you say bronze, are you referring to Copper I thought it was copper and zinc.
Is the 3.1 gram no mint mark 1982 small date worth anything?
No…I just found one tonight and got excited and is how I ended up watching this but it’s the 1982 D small date
I ❤have ❤3 coins 1982 Copper Penny worth Copper worth 10

I have one!!! where do I go to sell it?
Ebay
Heritage auctions
Sorry I can’t take a coin collector seriously when he keeps saying bronze
Brother, listen to this,if this is worth what you are claiming, buy my penny, and make yourself a profit.
In 1982 there was 7 varieties, not 8.
Hi there are only 7 different
I thought there were 9 different
I would appreciate very much if you can look into that I also am going to do a little research thank you
No I dont think no mint mark stands fir P you have 4 veriaties of the no mint mark copper LG date and sm date then you zink LG date sm date you have the D mint mark large date you copper and zink and sm date you the zink and the copper thats but you also have the S so there are 9 veriaties its wen looking it up it shows 7 becuase the 1982 D sm date copper is consideres an error and the 82 S is a proof what I dont get is if the 82D sm date is an error then why isn't the 1982D LG date copper considered an error
Dont get your hopes up this guy is lying, if you have this coin first telling the difference between small and large date is quite difficult, and if you have one in mint state 66 which is quite high, its only worth 100-200
It's not if you have a coin microscope or a jewelers loop. People that are pretty passionate about collecting know exactly what to look for. Most of these people commenting don't even know what the hell they're talking about.
@@Lana0488 well thats true enough, it is easier to tell after you know what to look for. But if you are an avid collevtor you would know this guy is lying avboyt the vAlue
Sold mines
Where? I have 10 pcs.

@@canadiannavy9229
🤣 well at least he’s not greedy 😆
@@jimmoravec1326 it honestly isn't about greed when the people buying these coins are filthy rich 🫡😂
I found a 1982 Large date weighing 2.5 can you help me out with this one.
It has to be the 1982 D small date and weighs a little over 3 grams
