@@coachingnocodeapps I just realized - how can you hide the toggled menu without reclicking the toggle trigger? For example, if I wanted to close menu option 1's toggle by clicking menu option 2 (not clicking menu option 1) is that possible?
Great and simple thanks Gaby. What's the trick to enable previously opened subtabs to be automatically closed before making the wanted subtabs visible - so we don't end up with a multitude of open sub-tabs, just the one we clicked on? I've tried every combination of options I can think of but nothing works.
Hello, @RussMayor, Have you got the solution for the trick If yes then please share it?? I've also tried so many combinations of options I can think of but nothing works.
Hi Gaby! Looking for a way to do the same thing, but horizontally. And my issue is that my left menu is a floating group that sticks to the top and left.
Thx for all your great tips and advice. What about a next level down in the menu, like a collapsing sub-menu under a collapsing sub-menu? I can do it but the sub-sub-group shifts around when the screen size changes?
Hey Jeff! This sounds like it would more so be a responsive issue. You can try playing around with those settings, like making the menu fixed-width, for example. We have a responsive webinar in our VIP Membership here that may help: coachingnocodeapps.com/vip-membership

Nice to finally come by a simple and to-the-point walk through for this functionality, so thank you! This actually makes me curious to know if it's possible to make the menu itself collapsible (from left to right) whenever a user hovers over the menu. Is something like this possible?
Hey Thomas, yes you can do that. We actually just published a lesson on this in our VIP membership if you want to check it out coachingnocodeapps.com/vip-membership
Great ! Thanks a lot for all your wonderful tutorials ! Do you think that there is a possibility to create the same kind of menu if items and sub-items are contained in a repeating group ?
Hi Gabi, All yours videos are excellent!!! I create some views and I'm trying to use these in my layouts like a dynamic data or in a Search for, but I think that is impossible. Am I correct??? I need to create a dynamic submenu, depending of the menu clicked above. Can you help! I make me clear?
Hello Gaby! I'm trying to create this menu as a reusable element but the floating group don't work properly when I scroll the page. It's works as a regular group. What am I doing wrong?
Please help I have tried with several plugins but it still does not work for mobile I want to enter a format with a nominal value of 50,000 but 50000 appears
How do you keep the height of the blue bar consistent? I have success with showing/hiding the sub menus, but now the height of the side menu group is shorter. Is there a way to keep the height at a specific number regardless of what is collapsed?
Use a floating group for your primary side menu - that'll keep its height in place. Have it float relative to "both" top and bottom. Bonus behavior here is that the menu will scroll with you as you scroll down the page. If you don't actually want that, just have an invisible element overlap the collapsing groups (layer behind them) so that it voids the collapsing behavior.
Hi Gaby, Nice instruction video! what about different user roles? Let say rol1: sub option 2 should not be visible. this will now result in a empty space between sub option 1 and 3... Thanks for your advise! Marco
Hi Adil, you need to put any elements you want to shrink height inside of a group. There is a checkbox to "collapse height when hidden" in the group element settings. See this tutorial for more: ua-cam.com/video/yvmM2pm3o4k/v-deo.html

Just tried it out myself, easily done! Totally forgot that there is this toggle function. Thanks Gabby!
Thanks a lot. This is exactly what I was looking for in order to accomodate and animate a FAQ in my app.

Thank U Gaby , i wonder if there is a trick that we can use to hide the submenu automatically if an other one is open thank you

Hi Marco! Try putting sub-option 2 inside a collapsible group and adding a condition to hide it based on user roles.
