She has a beautiful voice don’t get me wrong, but she pushes her voice too hard, and she sounds like she is screaming instead of singing. Anybody can scream Sing but after a while, it gets boring because it’s the same thing over and over again. She has an anointing can’t Take That away from her, but she needs to not scream so much singing it with damage, a voice more in the long run
Understandable and I see your point, but with Crystal she has an " anointing" and if one doesn't have that same anointing one just won't understand. Crystal was diagnosed with nodules on her lungs a while back and she will tell you in her testimonials that " she wasn't suppose to be able to sing and she can still sang. Sometimes you can hear her struggling to get her words out and she STILL manages to sound good through her struggling and hoarseness.! So I think that is what you may hear sometimes.. AND I can tell you one thing Black folk that can sang and who are anointed they ARE NOT going to water down nor change the way they sing just because all of a sudden and after centuries of singing black anointing gospel songs will they change it because certain ppl that can't sang have come up with words like " runs, growls, squalling, screaming, etc and whatever else they can come up with .will THEY change for anyone..!!
