In the previous episode you asked how can I not love this show? The answer is they completely dropped the ball on Venom. (also from the previous episode while that scene was a reference, it was when Peter got the symbiote off but a separate nightmare) The Venom symbiote is nothing like this, it is not a demon tempting you towards evil, instead it is a lonely creature that wants nothing more then to be bonded to a host that will use it to do good and not reject it like Peter did. (as Peter in the comics was in the wrong and rejected it out of fear of it being a living alien instead of a simple costume) Eddie during his brief time as a villain (as Eddie went from villain to anti-hero to hero) was unique because he did not target Peter's loved ones because they were innocent and would would go on to rescue civilians caught in the crossfire of their fights as you yourself show. Eddie being a competent journalist apart from the time he messed up (though retcons would reveal he was right) would provide believably on how he track down Peter, find hideouts, etc. (and in Spider-Man Family it was used to great affect for drama where Peter had to protect a bunch corporate big wigs that murdered people from Venom who refused back in his journalist days to hide the truth and is now here to claim vengeance for the lives they stole for a hair product that didn't even work, before turning them and crediting Eddie for the story)
Venom isn't a simple dark mirror and if thats all you get from the character you've missed the point and Bendis making his version a complete scumbag is not a improvement. (I'm referring to how he tried to hook up Gwen even though he was a adult and she was a teenager) I will however grant you that the Ultimate Spider-Man game was a much better attempt since it tried to course correct a lot things that made Ultimate Eddie a bad rendition of the character and set up him up for his heel-face turn, too bad Bendis ignored it.
Now don't get me wrong apart from Venom I will acknowledge Spectacular is pretty good but as Venom fan and comic reader this will always remain the biggest black mark on the show. To this day the only TV shows to come close to getting Venom right are the 90s cartoon (despite introducing the retcon that plagues most adaptions now) and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. (though you have to wait for Flash to get it, as everything before with Harry is indeed still trash)
The thing i like eddy is he's voiced by the same dude who voiced nino in season 1 and 2 of miraculous. He mailed it to the best role house.

That is weird. I love the Todd McFarlane Era of Spider-Man a lot great stuff in there.
11:50 It's mostly the fight scenes in marvel shows because DC shows have really good fight scenes like Young Justice, Teen Titans, Justice League Unlimited, Harley Quinn, and many more hopefully Spider-Man Freshman Year can bring us some great fight scenes 🙏
I'll also admit I watch this episode almost every Thanksgiving

In defense to Eddie from SM3
I think that one scene shows that underneath that dousheness is Peter Parker from the previous films, a down on his luck young man who can't win in life, but when he finally feels like life is giving him a break, a real streak in life. Than Emo Peter ruin it all.
Also there were plans for Green Goblin to kill Gwen in the show like in the Comics.
Yeah they really did a great job with Peter's characterization throughout all the movies. I do wish they could've done Eddie better but it's still an interesting take on him. Also thanks for watching my videos really appreciate it my man.

12:46 In the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and the original video game based on the comic, Peter's spider sense gives him an extreme headache, to the point it hurts when he's around Venom because the suit was made using Peter's DNA, and the suit wanted to permanently bond with Peter.
I totally forgot about that. I'm not sure why it didn't happen on there first encounter but it happened on the second. I still prefer the no spider sense but that was still a cool idea and I applaud them for trying do something new with it. Also I appreciate that you subscribed my man thank you so much.
