Great Video Steve (I dont know youre name and you sound like a steve). Id use youre food dish more than just throwing it onto the gravel so much easier to clean out. In my tanks i have a set routine, i use mainly shrimp king products as it is by far the best food i have found. After a water change i add BACTER AE which is probably the number 1 product i have used where there is a visible sign in the shrimps. I feed MINERAL, wait a day then Protein, then Complete. If there is lots of babies in the tank i add a pinch of BABY food so the big shrimp go for the pellet and the babies get benefits from the BABY. The colony EXPLODED when i started using this method. I would also say underfeeding is best as to much could spike your nitrates. The BACTER AE is dried out alge and helps promote alge in the tank so i never worry about under feeding.

Over here in cali those are crystal shrimp and they are 10$ a pop. I only have 3 for that reason.

Haha I never did. It’s possible but would require a lot of care and checking your bucket for babies before you dump it out.

They do but i should add specific shrimp food
Unlike the snowflake and shrimp king food, the fish flakes don't leave any crap behind so there's no need to gravel vac. I feed them tetramin fish flakes and man, they always eat up all of it.

How do you keep so many diferent species in the same tank and not mix breeds
You mentioned you gravel vac your shrimp tank......how do you do this without killing them or catching them? I wont do it due to those concerns.Compared to your tanks...mine is out of control. Yours is clean. I have algae and visible shrimp waste. Granted the shrimp dont seem to care.....but Id kinda like to clean stuff up!.

Usually what I do is feed on the other side of the tank. Gives me a chance to vac the empty side. Still very slow but doable.
I've used a baster to stir up the gunk in the gravel and vac the floating debris. I don't always do this, but its helpful if you're looking to do a simple vac

U can feed.it.sliced of cucumber or broccoli but u gotta boil it first to make it soft then wait a lil to cool it down

This is one of my concerns. I have a new shrimp tank and I haven't gravel vac'd because I'm worried that I will vac up babies. So how do you vac without doing that?

I’ve seen people use pantyhose or something similar to cover the end of a their water changer. Thanks to Marks Shrimp Tanks, great channel if you need more shrimp info.
@@cdc6245 But with pantyhose over the entrance of the tube it's a very fine net. You wouldn't be vacuuming up much as far ad I'm concerned. However, I guess it would be better than doing nothing.

That's possible. It is a very very slow grower
all I see is thousands of $$$ worth of shrimp.

Not sure what you mean exactly. There are grades of crs. Mine are pretty solid from generations of breeding and selecting solid colors

Hey. Great video. Do the different breeds of shrimp interbreed? Is it better to keep 1 species of shrimp per tank?
Yes they will create hybrid breeds it's cool to see. Only keep them separate if you want purely one breed and no hybrids
Do you use CO² in your tanks? If not please share how your plants thrive without the usage of CO²

And with shrimp that much, i think there are plenty of waste there.. including CO2
I use no co2 or fertilizer in my shrimp tanks.
