I am doing the Gayatri Mantra from 9 to 10 year , and currently i am 25 .

I recited it 20-30 times before the sun rise this morning and I think God is OK with my pronunciation and knowledge about the mantra.
Definitely not OK if you dont have initiation from Guru to recite this mantra.. I wish you find Proper Guru and path..
I was under an impression that God will understand my intentions irrespective of my pronunciation and what I chant .. and I continue to believe it. God knows me and he knows my energy and intentions as he is inside me

Then chant just god's name only like radhe radhe , Ram Ram etc . Some mantras are very strong and shouldn't be mispronounced.
I am still on a path of learning so I don't have much knowledge about mantras but I do have faith in them. For those who may have misunderstood the content : I think He meant to say that those who recites mantras for their personal desires filled with greediness are tend to loose their senses. But those who recites them with love and selfless devotion with correct appropriate knowledge are tend to gain good vibrations. Ultimately helping them in the journey of life.

Apart from the intention of the sadhak, it's also important to not mix different mantras at the same time. Especially powerful ones like Gayatri, Mrityunjay or any of the Kali mantras.

Gayatri is meter of the Savitri mantra. There are longer gayatri mantras, in fact in the longest variation Savitri and Mahamrityunjay occur together. This one is hinted in Devibhagavat purana i think.
You can do mantra for fulfilling your desires. This is called the "kāmya prayoga" of the mantra.
The thing is you should be initiated into the mantra, especially vedic mantras.

Maine bhi gaytri mantra ka jap karta hu aur balsanskarshala me bachho ke dwara bolkar 5-10 minute karvata hu lekin hamare sath kabhi kuch galat nhi hua jaisa ki video me bola gya hai senses damage etc. Gaytri mantra hamare jivan me dhero inner changes aaye hai. Bachho ke jivan me bhi bahut badlav aaya hai.
I used to recite without any initiation. There was no negative results. I got only positive results

I'm associated with the DAV institutions. Every morning,when the assembly starts, it is a ritual for us to chant the Gayatri mantra followed by our DAV anthem and many other devotional songs and a Havan once or twice a week. We're an Arya Samaj school, so we're strictly a vegetarian school and there's many beautiful things that I get to experience every day as part of this wonderful institution.

Gayatri is a poetic meter. Savitur gayatri / savitri mantra as the speaker mentioned is for Savitri devi. There's Krishna gayatri mantra etc etc. There is gayatri mantra for several deities.

Mantras nd God are not a part of joke ya game ki kuch v Mann se kro.......agar Vedas nd mantra banaye gaye hai then they have a meaning......In Sanskrit ek letter v idhar udhar ho gaya thn meaning change ho jati hai .........log ese hi hai logon ko achi chij samajhni ni bas modernism follow krna hai ki haa kya farak pdega ye wo........agar farak ni pdta then God easily mil jate etna vidhi vidhan kyu hai.....

Niyam or vidhi vidhan se mil gye hai kya kisiko bhagwan .. bde niyam wale bhi log hai , lekin bhgwan dikhe ya nhi ye kese pta lgega. Jo niyam nhi rkh rhe unme bhi kisi ko mile ,iska bhi koi bhrosa nhi. Vedas and mantras have so much power that they allowed other religions which denies principal of Hindus ,are more than Hindus , and Hindus didn't even allowed Hindus to practice religion due to castism.

@@Rama_Rama_Ramasvaha not suvaha. Sva-ha... People have started albums with Gayatri mantra, so who listened to it kind of thinks thats the correct pronunciation. Since it's all Sanskrit with hindi letters probably one can first understand the letter n then read the letter n pronounce it letter by letter

So where are the true evidences that it is not suvaha but instead "svaha" because if we say svaha then one could also pronounce it as swaha which is an offering to the deity (an oblation) but this particular first line has nothing to do with an offering but instead has something to do with the 3 worlds Bhur, Bhuvaha and Suvaha (material world, ethereal world and celestial world). And so this celestial world is translated as Suvaha in sanskrit, but not as svaha.

If you read in English instead of devanagiri probably this confusion can occur. Though the breakup of letters is clear in English I'm not sure if people can pronounce clearly.
This is why Gayatri is given via Diksa. It cannot be separated from guru-shishya / parampara

@@RishabhRishab He is talking about a Mantra, not a God. Mantra is not just only for pleasing a Deity or God. It is for a individual's own system. If something goes wrong that doesn't mean God or someone up there is doing it. It is actually the individual's own system!

In my humble understanding, Gayatri Mantra is a prayer to almighty who is permeating all three planes of existence (Bhur, Bhah, Swah: body, mind,Soul/Physical, Astral, Causal) to Guide our intellect. When supreme being guide our intellect, naturally we do not follow wrong path. That is why it is the highest prayer available to mankind.
It is well known that Chanting of Gayatri mantra removes sins and it purifies the one who chants may be because of the same reason. That is why it is mandatory for Brahmins to chant Gayatri. Because unless they are purified, how can they contact God to deliver result of worship to the common people?
But when purification happens , there may be burning of karma and that people may feel that burning sensation through life experiences. Every action comes with a consequences, what is expected is you should know what you are doing and observations is the key in any aspect of life. You should know when to stop if you are experimenting and also proper learning of pronounciation is required but it is apparently somewhat exaggerated that it would cause blindness.
Also Gayatri mantra can become a karmic chain breaker and when you compress your journey, you should experience all your evils in short period of time.
And Gayatri mantra increases Satttva Guna and if you are to do some tamasic activities to sustain your life, it may cause issues and that is why only Brahmins are allowed to chant this mantra.
Finally I am not a Brahmin or initiated to Gayatri and have no authority to Guide anyone. More we learn, more we understand that there is much to be learnt further. People interested in Gayatri Mantra can search for Satya Sai Baba and his organisation at his/her own responsibility.

Sir, who is Brahmin? One who is by birth or one who is Satvik by nature? The person who is Satvik by nature will chant Gayatri with devotion and purity of mind he may may not be a Brahmin by birth!

You can only get this answer when you yourselves are completely illumined and evolved spiritually which can take any amount of time. Toh tab tak kya?? People with half way knowledge like this kid in the podcast just instill fear in the name of god. Thoda demaag use karo. God who is the most pure and loving entity can never do any..i mean any harm to anybody. And the biggest fun fact is that all of us and every other being on the planet is THAT himself herself whom he/she is running behind. @@girija6905Brahmin could be anyone who follows the paths laid by our rishis. Infact not many rishis are Brahmins by birth but attained the Brahmagyan and became Brahmarishi and Brahmins. Being born in lower caste doesn't mean that one shouldnt practise brahminism. If interested they can take up the oath to become one and follow the rules and guidelines set. I think these days irrespective of caste, creed many people are wearing the sacred thread to become eligible for learning vedas from gurus and these activities are being done by same brahmins who are critized for hiding the knowledge 😅

In Geeta Krishna ji said... in mantras I am the "gayatri mantra" which means its the most powerful of all... but with power comes responsibility... and hence there are a lot of norms/neeyams to be followed while reciting this mantra

Let me put it in a simple term: "We are all life-animals, humans-yet humans don't walk on their hands; you use feet. Even when walking, you don't walk sideways or backwards; you walk forward. This is "Niyamam".
You can get from point A to point B by walking backwards, sideways, or even using your hand; the chances of inflicting pain are higher with the method you choose.
God does not reward or punish you for walking sideways, using your hand, or using your head. You get "positive and negative" benefits from the actions that you have performed. Which is why "Niyamam" is important.

I always get good benefit from Gaytri mantra , lakhsmi mantra, mahamritunjay , om namah shivay mantra . I do it everyday ... Yes i stopped reading hanuman chalisa. Hanuman makes all the projects i gave him successful but he brings bit of struggle to me whenever i recite him. So i stopped but i take his name with Ram in my morning prayers. I keep him in 4 sides of me surrounding me, like a bodygaurd😅. I love hanuman,he is innocent and child like .

I used to do gayatri mantra some years back & had some wonderful experiences. I had even started seeing some miracles in my life. But then someone told me girls are not allowed to recite this mantra. So I had stopped reciting this mantra. But then things started taking a worse turn & I really dont know if it was because of that. Then came a time when I got angered by the person who made me stop. After all I thought she is also a female deity & we refer to her as maa which means mother. How can it be wrong for a child to call its mother in the time of need. So I started reciting again. And whenever I recite this mantra, it really has a calming effect on my mind. I find myself at much more peace. So there is no restriction on who can chant gayatri mantra. Anyone can do it as long as they do it with complete faith & not for selfish purposes. This is the best mantra as it can be done anywhere & anytime by anyone.
it is a great misconception that women can't recite Gayatri Mantra . Shri Ram Sharma Acharya ji , founder of All India Gayatri Parivar , clearly said that every soul can recite ,chant Gayatri Mantra . Mantras are not gender biased ..

I chanted Gayatri mantra for 3 hours in the morning and at that time my desires were at the top I did this for 2 days and i felt like my life was falling apart all the worst case scenarios started happening and i felt helpless.

Absolutely I experienced the same recently. This cannot be a coincidence. Chanting any mantra without significant guidance does more harm than good
Bhai harm nhi hota esa hota ki karam jaldi jldi katne lgte hai.. aur humse sahe nhi jate.. kyuki jivan ka goal mukti hai.. ishwar se judo ge to karam kat te hai.. aur dukh jhelne pdte hai... Lekin bs diffrence ye hota hai ki saja ka roop badal jata hai.

Unfortunately , people dont know that every mantra is some or other form is Gayatri only.. u can take Rudra Gayatri, Surya Gayatri, Subrahmanya Gayatri, Ganapathi Gayatri, Vishnu Gayatri, Guru Gayatri, Hanuman Gayatri.. take up one such Gayatri and do one round of Purascharana which is 24 lakh times...ull experience the peaks of Spirituality, bliss and protection.

But now I find it very hard to be consistent like I lost my retention power. I knew something I was doing something wrong, but after watching the video I realised my mistake.
Even I wear Tulsi Mala since 2011. It is advised that one should not chant Mahamrityunjay using Tulsi Mala, but I ignored it and now I am in trouble.

One day in a dream I saw a person standing opposite to the direction of Sun and chanting (Sun rays were falling on his back)
Since then I am following directions as well.

I had an initiation to gayatri mantra, I used to chant the holy hymns focusing on the words or visualizing Devi Tara. When my "yagna-upabit" ceremony was going on, priest gave me gayatri mantra in front of holy fire. I am chanting gayatri mantra almost for 11years, but you have to maintain certain restrictions. It has beautiful meaning ❤

Yes its right. That is the idea behind initiation. Thats why there is an elaborate procedure called Brahma-upadesa.
I have heard Sadhguru narrating how a foreigner used to vibe with that mantra during commuting and not knowing what was that. She thought it be some movie song. She liked it and she always used to play it during his commute.Then she lost her voice and then did everything and finally came to Sadhguru. She didn't knew how her vocals were lost.
It's not allowed for Girls that's why it happened with her.
it depends on person to person. There are a lot of factors in her case but Pronunciation is the key factor.

But for Brahmins One who does sandhya Vandana , and got initiated into something ,
It Becomes his duty to still continue his Brahmin nitya anusthana and then perform other deitie's sadhana.
No escape from Gayatri nitya anusthanam.
If guru says stop your Brahmin rituals, run away from him.
