I was stationed at Hill from 2003-08 in the 75 Civil Engineer Squadron. It was a great assignment.
Dad was stationed there from 1980 to 84. He arrived as a Huey pilot with ARRS but transitioned to F-16s shortly after. I went to elementary school in Ogden. During that time I got to watch F-105s take off before they were retired.
I was stationed at Hill from 1973/1975, my job was aircraft security for the KC 135’s stationed there as a SAC satellite.
As an aircraft security specialist SP in 1973 I never saw or heard about any buffs stationed at Hill. If they were stationed there during my time at Hill Our squadron would have been assigned to provide security for them.
