- This video is long overdue, but I finally got around to doing an update video since the last time I have done a update on my collection, my parts collection has grown significantly. These parts have come from all over the US, and some even from other countries. I really appreciate all the companies, people, and others that have contributed to this collection.
Fantastic collection!
At 4:09 those switches with the smooth silent feel like that pretty much always contain mercury. It’s encased in glass, but I’d still be careful with that.
What aspects of an elevator button (or perhaps any button) make it satisfying to press for you?
Do your fingers like buttons with enough resistance or a bit more so that the act of the pressing is more deliberate?
Is it the shape of the button? Is because you press it in below the level of the plate more than those that stay flush
with the surface? Is it a sort of soft give or (if you will) squishiness that makes it more fun?
I know that part of the answers to these question might be beyond words, but I am curious to compare notes.
This video in totally was very satisfying to watch and notice the various characters and designs of the buttons as
you pressed them.
"in total" not totally
It really depends, some buttons just have a cool click or something, while others have a springy press.
It’s about time!
Nice how you used IKEA ledge shelves to display your elevator parts.
I ordered a Dover impulse call panel with up and down
Finally a update on your collection. Lol nice
Some of your little parts are sitting in a very old built in bookcase & some other parts are sitting in your metal lockers. Idk where the lockers came from.
2:00 @CAelevators that Adams elevator call button you have, if you didn’t know, I have one of those.
The video that everyone has been asking for since the last tour lol
can you do a 2024 update?

You can really only find them off of eBay, their prices are expensive
