  • Video Recorded on June 16, 2024: Before I show my 2024 revisit to the original Schindler M-Series scenic elevators, I needed to make an important announcement for you to listen carefully. I also must tell you that this is the only original bank of elevators left in the whole entire facility as the rest of them have since been fully modernized since the last time I came here five years ago. Glory Mall elevators are still original and nothing has changed. Time has flown so fast! I can’t even believe I have had so many memories riding these elevators for the past 20 years! Installed in 1998 (according to the certificate).

    2004? That's the year I was born!
But hey, glad to see them still running strong as of 2024. Good ol' Schindler M-Series

In response to the beginning message. you're probably not the only one. I'm sure a lot of enthusiasts probably don't remember their first elevator ever. That's a very long time ago. I don't really remember my very first elevator either.

You’re lucky these Schindler Miconics are your first ever elevators ever ridden! My first lift ever ridden is also a Schindler, but it’s pretty much MRL and has FI-MXB indicators with D8 (D-Series buttons) since we couldn’t get proper FI-MXB buttons thanks to DDA regulations. I’m even surprised these haven’t been modded ever since! They at least retain everything like the QKS9 doors and stuff, which is surprising since M-Series are slowly becoming rare.

Looks like the first elevator you remember riding is a Schindler MT? Mine too! It’s actually an old Dover with an MT mod. It has a low pitched chime too. So that means the first elevator I remember is a somewhat unique one. Would’ve been neat to see it before the mod, but that must’ve happened before my existence.

I'm thinking when you were younger, this probably was your first elevator outside of the US if I'm not mistaken. I like tracking my first in each scenario that stands out.

Nice elevators, however what really got my attention was the huge vault door leading to the parking area on -3. Does the parking area double as a bomb shelter or something?

I’d love to, but we barely had any time during the past several years I flew back to China mainly because we have family.

I don’t see the elevators like that because these are very slow.
