    Copyright
Copyright is a legal right created by the law of a country. Which gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for use and distribution. This is usually only for a limited time.
According to Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral and material interests that
resulting from one's scientific, literary or artistic production of which is
    author.
    History
With the advent of printing in the West in the fifteenth century AD, it came a great diffusion of literary works as it never was.
From the press there were many disputes over copyright, but in the early eighteenth century, the English Parliament passed the first law in the world on copyright (Copyright,) known as the Statute of Anne.
After this statute, various countries created similar laws
Since 1967 there WIPO World Intellectual Property Organization, or WIPO English, now almost all countries in the world are members of it.
Protection of copyright covers only the expression of a content, but not ideas.
To claim the copyright will not need any formality, ie, does not require registration in a register, copyright born with the creation of the work.
They are subject to protection original works of literary, artistic and scientific field, whatever its form of expression, media or means.
There are several categories of materials that are generally not eligible for the protection of copyright.
    • Works that have not been fixed in a tangible form of expression. For example: A speech that has not been recorded or written. To claim the right has to be a tangible record.
    • Works in the public domain.
    • Ideas, procedures, methods, systems, processes, concepts, principles, discoveries, etc.
    • laws, regulations and other rules.
The owner of the work can:
    • reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords.
    • To prepare derivative works based on the work.
    • Distribute copies of the work to the public by sale or other transfer of ownership, rent, lease or lend such copies.
    • Display the work publicly
Copyright expire in most countries 70 years after the author's death. In some countries it is more and others less.
Remember that: the Moral rights are those related to author permanently and are inalienable and imprescriptible.
