Do you know wat other colours are available. The trim on mins is like a brown tinted carbon fibre. Bit odd but I would like it to match if possible.

Hi Keith. Have you done any speaker upgrades at all? From what I can see, I would need the front speaker adapters for the EP3 Civic which house a 5.25" speaker.
I've not done them on the FR-V, but I have done them on other cars before. You can fabricate any adapter as they're plastic. Use a rotary drill to trim one down to fit, then re-drill holes.
good question, can a single din fir it, with some other additional part? I had the same with my saab, there was a pocket thing that went into the empty space.
When you had the dash open did you see the IMMO unit, my daughters FRV will not start and need to replace the IMMO unit as everything else works and talks to each other. No help from Honda on online forums as there is no manual. Thanks

Thanks mate I’ve got an FRV and shops are telling me that facias have to be custom made and it’s a pain to do so it’s going to cost me in excess of £500 I’m going to try following your video and do it myself! Would you have any advice on fitting a sub as well?
The parts aren't cheap in typical car prices for these sorts of bits but your main cost is the fascia bit and the wiring harnesses. The stereo is as much as your willing to pay. If your going to fit a sub, run the wiring in while you've got everything out. You can connect it to the stereo and leave the sub end where you need it, that way you won't need to pull everything out again.
Hi Mate! Nice vid. I ordered the 2 parts and picked them up from honda today. They didnt come with any screws to fit the metal bracket and the facia together before u clip them into the car. There doesnt seem to be much space for bolts. Did u get your own screws and let it screw into the plastic to make them fit securely? Any help would be appreciated.
Mine didn't come with screws either! Luckily I have boxes of screws in my shed and found 4 small ones that fitted well. Probably 1cm at most. There are holes in the fascia that match up with the metal rack so once you have the screws it's all good
Nice little Info there. I am too confused about disassembeling the complete dash to get to the two screws so RESPECT to you my friend. I would realy like to see even by photo where exactly those bolts are located and where to cut the metal to get access to them after removung the first front bezel for the ac. Would be perfect. the bezel part (casing) number is 77251-sjd-003ZA for the black one, the metal rack part number is 77255-sjd-003, the facia is a standard honda double din one from ebay, the connector for steering wheel controls is connects2 CTSHO001.2 see my other videos about steering wheel control and you need an aerial adapter also from ebay although if it's a Japanese import the aerial connector will be slightly different so you may need to get the stereo out to check which one you need

As far as I know h-tune are having a few server issues but will be back up soon. The reflector lights on fr-v are terrible. I upgraded my bulbs to LED which has helped immensely. I will be putting a short video soon to show how to fit them. Have you tried the pitch adjustment which is down to the right of the steering wheel. If it's set to 3 instead of 0 it will have less angle to throw out light.
@@williameldredge6384 you can do it manually. There is usually a screw on the light housing that you turn to raise the or lower the light beam. Just park in front of a wall with the lights on. Or ask your local MOT guy to check the adjustment for you.

They are the same car. Edix is the euro and Asian name. If your in the uk the parts are expensive to import regardless. The edix has a few different engine sizes and a few different trim options but they are the same car.

A few models do but they are rare. You can buy an after market one that runs through the cd changer connection. As long as you don't buy a cheap one they work very well. I recommend the one buy www.connects2.com you will still have to remove the stereo to connect it though.

Would it be easier to screw the new head unit into the new metal bracket / cage before slotting it into place?
Yes. That was what I did in the end. The cage with the radio was to wide so I fitted it straight to the back bracket

It would be difficult to tell. I measured the gap between the stereo and the fascia and then found a bezel for a C-RV that matched.

There is no existing facia, the radio is a fitted moulded piece

Do you mean the bit of trim or the big bit that the stereo sits in? The trim was off Ebay and the main piece was from honda

I haven't changed the speakers. I actually think the OEM speakers are pretty good. I've changed speakers in other cars and it is usually pretty easy

I believe the bulbs on the side mirrors are fitted units and it's supposedly easier to just buy another mirror from a scrap car and fit that.

what kind of hacksaw have you used?
Just a hacksaw blade and a pair of gloves. You can buy a holder that allows you to do that same thing without the gloves.

@tukimiki1 sounds like the led panel has perished. If you can get one from a breaker it's very easy to replace
@tukimiki1 it will likely be the front silver part with all the buttons on. It just pulls off and you can fit a new one
